Discord Tools And Extensions

Thought I'd provide a few tools that fellow Discord users may find useful in protecting yourself or for utilitypurposes.
Below is a few Discord Tools and a brief description of their usage. Will update as people provide more tools in replies or I find more. :flan-yea:

  • Discord Chat Exporter - Can be used to export message history from a Discord channel to a file. It works with direct messages, group messages, and server channels, and supports Discord's dialect of markdown as well as all other rich media features.
  • Undiscord - Browser Extension used via GreaseMonkey, TamperMonkey, etc. which can be used to mass delete messages in servers, private messages, etc.
  • BetterDiscord - Extension on Discord which has a variety of plugins available here which allows for expanding the core program, themes, etc.

just want to forewarn that all of these are against discord TOS and they can ban you for using it

not likely in the slightest but its better to take caution and not be banned for something stupid

Discord History Tracker (Github) is an alternative to Discord Chat Exporter. Since it's written in Javascript, it can be run from the developer console or used as a userscript. Additionally, it doesn't require an access token.

There's also Ripcord, a lightweight desktop client. However, it is not FOSS, so use it at your own discretion.

By the way, shouldn't this thread go in the general Software forum instead of the Windows Software subforum? After all, there are Discord clients for Linux and Android.

And we all know Discord TOS is bullshit given the amount of issues with that platform and I'm not even going to start with how it essentially put the nail in the coffin for traditional message boards, so it's nice to forcibly shove something up its arse Bruno Powroznik style in spiteful vengeance as we do whatever the fuck we want with our client. :p
