Like others have said, AI image generation is just a tool, it's not inherently wrong. The problem is how it's used by people. The biggest problems I see are the ingestion of artists' works for model training without permission or compensation, the harassment on artists (general and targeted) by replicating the artists art style and mocking the artists, and the flooding of AI generated images on various platforms causing reduction of artists' exposure.
Personally, I wish to see better technology at protecting unauthorized ingestion of artwork for model training, better separation of non-AI and AI images on art sharing platforms, and better protection for artists from AI art generator users' targeted harassment.
