Phase Connect being a Canadian company is capable of being prosecuted for "hate speech" so it's reasonable to put out a statement to have some sort of plausible deniability against all the total trannicide statements. Anyone who though she was the "next metokur" or full on supports Total Tranny Death is rather delusional, as being part of a corpo will always be a hamper towards being truly based as management will wrangle your opinions if you go too far.

I don't think anyone was asking her to go full-blown 'genocide now!' on the pibbers. The bare minimum I ask for - VTuber or otherwise - is to not disavow your audience/assume responsibility for other people's actions. I refuse to believe Pippa doesn't already know this, which is why I'm led to believe Sakana threatened her with termination.

We will probably never find out, but since phase connect doesn't seem to strict on a content basis I'd argue that the breach of contract was potentially about her moonlighting or trying to get favors with her company account.
At this stage we can onpy guess, but I'm always surprised how these people can sign a contract and then think they don't need to follow it.

Edit: Lumi made some comments about the Yuri situation just a bit ago. I personally view Tenma as Pippa with an accent and way, way, WAY less baggage. Also to Ten's credit she's also a bit less preachy than Pippa. Pippa has REALLY begun to get a bit preachy with her platform as of late. It isn't inherently a bad thing when it isn't something related to "THE MESSAGE" but it also ends up becoming irritating imo when it becomes consistent.

I can appreciate Tenma having barely any rrats out there, yet at least. Hope it remains that way, ever since Froot I've been wary of following any vtuber too closely until I see just a tiny bit about their background. I was late to the Apricot news when she first debuted as a Vtuber so it was a shock to hear how much of a trashy leech she is.

Hope she continues to grow, she has a nice niche in being a Vtuber who's JP/ENG like Pikamii was. People love genuine Engrish and Tenma's Engrish game is S+.

Pretty sure people are gonna deny knowing about Pippa's existence because people such as Aethel know full well the LAST thing you want to do in regard to someone you don't approve/hate in the show-business is give them ANY lip-service.

Pippa's breakout this year is near exclusively BECAUSE of bad press. I don't think anyone here would contest me here when I claim Pippa would be half, or a quarter of her current size fan-wise if not for the Wizard game drama in recent times.

So anytime some known-name claims they don't know who Pippa is, chances are they're trying to avoid signal-boosting the 'problematic' vtuber again. Because Pippa's completely cornered the market for politically incorrect Vtubers and even if Phase Connect is try curbing Pippa's mouth, she still has made her case as the "Based Rabbit."

Edit: I'd say he privated the video more because it'd bring Pippa to people's attention again more than actually avoiding drama. Drama in show-business is good unless you don't serve to gain as much from it as the other person you're starting shit with. In regard to Pippa? Anyone who starts shit with her will lose by default because she still isn't big yet. Once Pippa reaches a point where EVERYONE knows her, you WILL see people start to dogpile her since signal-boosting her is no longer a concern.

While Pippa's not a toxic cunt like the Latino-Sphere's Rimu is, (pretty sure that's her name?)
