I gave this a look and I don't see anywhere in it that shows new info. it's still talking about the fanbox etc ban. it doesn't help they spam artwork in the article making it hard to read.

so no I've not seen or heard anything about them "banning content" officially even if it's possible and likely. people should be wary of their news sources. I'm not gonna trust anything unless it comes from an official linked statement from pixiv themselves or credible sources

just to recap. they are going to ban work on their paid services only. NOT on the main site yet. you can still host said content on pixiv you just can't make any money off it using their services. At least for the time being

it's important not to spread misinformation and to call shit like this out when you see it regardless of whose doing it.

Here's the important part.
「禁止商品」とは
・実写による公序良俗に反する商品
・写実性が高いなど実在性の高い表現方法により実際に被害者がいるという懸念を完全に払拭できない、公序良俗に反する商品
を指します。

So this only applies to real life stuff and "realistic" stuff.

Won't be the first time a website broadens their own definition in favor of censoring contrary to previous statement

Seeing how pixiv has a huge problem with actual CSEM being posted there this is not a bad decision...

...but we all know well that it never ends there

This could fuck over the creators of those 3D loli models especially if they go for realistic facial design instead of moe face.

Those artists were already in a risky position, even before this debacle.

Im not saying they should be banned, unless they based their models on a real person, but realistic cg loli art is not exactly easy to defend.

Supposedly realistic stuff is only banned if you "can't completely dispel the concern that a real victim exists", so time will tell if that vagueness is abused.

Even basing the model on a real person doesn't create a victim unless you force a real child to model for you personally. Otherwise that would make stuff like Unteralterbach and >shadman illegal.

Idk about shadman, since afaik none of his real-person drawings were sexualized. But Im pretty sure unteralterbach may actually be illegal.
It doesnt need to be of a forced subject to be illegal it just needs to be, as you said certifiably reminiscent of a real person.

It makes it a drawing of an actual child instead of a character which if not illegal its definetly morally questionable, at least to me.

The pics of X-23 from the logan movie and some youtube brat definitely were, stylized but still based on those girls, dumbass knew better but did it anyway. When he did those hillary clinton loli images no one gave him tons of shit, he should've stuck to lolifying politicians but he definitely would've gotten shit for a loli ocasio cortez.

maybe i'm stupid but what i actually read is similar than japanesse one , realistic and real live action are the target not the moe one. the better is wait and see anyways.

I don't know if anyone else has seen this stuff but over the years I've encountered different false flags like "pixiv is banning lolicon! it's time!" but it's like one or two guys who got banned for no reason that I know of and people just falsely assume that it's gonna happen to everybody and it doesn't actually happen.

i personally draw the line at real people but i don't control it if people want to lewd Hermione Granger/Emma Watson
