I'd give it five to ten more years.

Whoops, I just noticed that my post read in part "consider it a yet?" since bold + italic apparently broken the text. :sagiri-laugh:

But yeah, getting older is certainly a weird feeling. Considering how ancient some of the things I used to watch and enjoy are perceived today is mind-blowing. I can't believe there will be a time where Soulja Boy gets to a similar point, much like how old gangster rap is viewed today.

It'll be a fallback when some get reminded of SouljaGame.

I'm quite impressed there are content creators putting out Terraria videos in current year. I'll need to drop this in my watch later. Is she good for casual viewing?

Also, are there any other Terraria creators you also recommend? :zt-think:

Oh yes! Gandy and Vrile for others whose Players also entered the new stage of history. For everyone else, others in the Buildy Bunch/TerraCorps are also great starts. :pillow-yes:
Happy ten years of Terraria! :puddicat-heart:

Hard to believe it's that old, especially since I ended up buying it not long after release. I legitimately had played it back in the days of Minecraft Beta, which that itself felt like eons ago.

Getting old sucks. I want to go back! :seething:

I don't blame you. There's things in this world that don't hit as hard today unless you were there when they came out.
I don't mind the Discord logo design. In fact, I like how it reminds me of how South Park would portray its logo in an episode touching upon it. :heh:

I personally think it's an objective improvement. Was there a lot of dissent over it? I'm sure that's largely a result of people being so incredibly resistant to change. :hibiki-chew:

Granted, that's not to say there haven't been a multitude of visual design changes in the last few years that have blown pretty hard, but this isn't one of them in my opinion.
Ocean Software does the unthinkable: develop a game that actually wants me to git gud. :puddicat-heart:

What game is that? It's got to be an old title, because Ocean Software is an ancient name as far as today's industry goes.

Also, playing games to "git gud" instead of "having fun"? Absolutely disgusting. :hana-disgust:

Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues for the Game Boy. The most fair and balanced run-and-gun for that handheld I played. I cannot stress how cute its depiction of Dr. Grant is! On the SNES side of things, it's slippy and BioSyn is hardcore.

The SNES release's intro sports full voice acting. It pleases me that its enhanced sound capabilities over the Genesis/Mega Drive are put to such use!
This reminds me of the music included in that solitaire collection which was part of the sampler of games I mentioned about in early Xbox Live Arcade almost 2 weeks ago!
It's a shame Oberon didn't include the iconic backs for Spider Solitaire's playing cards. Otherwise, it feels great to experience something that's not paywalled!

With Windows 10 came a bigger focus on the MS Store and Collections of these games introducing an arbitrary paywall. Fuck that noise, I read horror stories about 'em which got me thinking about Winaero again. :)

Oh, okay. My main confusion was that of Oberon. Not really familiar with that name outside of Warframe.

Oberon is the company responsible for adapting these Windows games to Vista and beyond. You might recognize them for their output on the early Xbox Live Arcade!

I honestly don't know anything about Schreier (or Robinson for that matter) personally, and I probably don't want to know considering he thought it appropriate to align himself with Kotaku for many years. At the very least, I can't really discredit a lot of his writing, which have proven to be among the very few instances of true journalism performed in gaming.

At this rate, anyone can do better than Billy Usher, the supposedly one angry gamer got me reconsidering my stance on what gaming journalism these days I don't like.

Yep game journalism really is complete cancer these days.
To think with all this Lolidrama going out with vigilant minors unwaware of what they're doing, social media hasn't bothered raising the minimum sign-up age to 18. This lack of action signifies a concern to me: a concern that they're kinda sorta encouraging it.

If those users really had the younger ones' best interests for them, then they would go an extra mile asides slapping a "<18 DNI" tag or some shit. My time at a Discord server called Femboy got me thinking not just about how comforting it feels, but how serious they are to assuring that their userbase is age 18+.

Sounds like there's some stories to be shared there. :korone-smug:

But no, I completely agree. There's only so much you can do when it comes to preventing minors from seeing inappropriate material, but many servers don't put forth the minimum effort required. Really gets the noggin' joggin' on why that's the case...
