Well, it's over now, but I did end up finishing everything. I didn't have auto-redeploy to rely upon for some of the harder nodes, so I had to look up guides there, but otherwise it was okay! A bit disappointing that there was no farming because I had saved up like 15 or so sanity potions to use, but I ended up just working on materials for operator improvements.

Mostima was the first unit to break my long streak of good luck and give me the cold shoulder, despite spending a sizable amount of orundum. For that reason, as well as the fact that (at least according to certain parts of the community) that AoE Casters really aren't worth the investment compared to other units, I decided to keep saving. Really just gunning for both Dusk and the RE6 collab that should be coming down the road.

It really does suck though, because Exusiai is still my favorite unit, and I really want her to have her yuri waifu...

Also, it's worth mentioning that she may be available for free in the future. There's no guarantee yet as far as Global goes, but I know that in CN she is currently available through Recruitment. This should make it easier for those who don't want to or can't pay for her to have a chance at those thighs (or more potential). Keep the faith!

It did go quite well for me, i did have mudrock leveled but no m3's and still got that on 18 risk but the real carry was nightingale saving ifrit and herself from nearly one shot from these damned sniper caster sarkaz , and i wish i had spectre

I figure a dollar for a game I put at least an hour a day into is pretty good so I didn't mind buying her.

This was my exact perspective, and just a few hours before the promotion expired, I bought the pack.

I'm already a big fan of her as a character, both in terms of design, personality, and mechanics. I'm always going to love me some super cute water-themed ladies. It's an added bonus that she is to my surprise one of the best units for precious metal generation, so now I've got a nice and sexy +1.05 efficiency bonus there.

I really like some of the figures they've come out with. I want the Lapp and Exu E2 Figmas but they're like 200 bucks and despite looking great I can't really justify that.

Wow... that Hoshiguma figure is utterly gorgeous. If I was more in love with her character than I am, I might even consider shelling out the money for it. Glad they went with her objectively superior oni skin rather than the default look. I wish the former was what she was shipped with in game, but that's probably the skin where I felt most my OP was best spent.

I was not aware of the Lappland or Exusiai figures as you mentioned them, but after looking up, well I am again devastated by what an expensive hobby it is to collect figures. Exusiai is my favorite operator of All Time so it really pains me that I wont be able to get it for her, and I doubt a Nendoroid would ever be made (even though Amiya got one). Sad time for us collectors on a budget...

Uh, it's going alright. Contingency Contract is probably one of my least favorite things to do in this game as I don't like artifically inflated difficulty, but the rewards are sweet so I'll keep grinding at it as I always do.

No shame, but I always look up a guide for Risk 18, and it was especially needed this time. I probably spent about two hours on the permanent map trying and failing because one little mistake would always kill the run, and the node is so unnecessarily inflated in the first half.

I finally managed to get it done using this guide with a few operator substitutions. I was going to get pissed if I had to level Spot for it, since he has less SP required for his skill than Nearl, but I managed to get it done. Thankfully. All I can say after having put myself through that is fuck those Sarkaz units forever, and I never want to see them again. One of the worst designed and most unfair and frustrating units in the game.

In lighter news, I have been able to do every single daily stage on my own without the need of a guide so far. I'm basically at the point in my career where I can just brute force stages because I have almost all of the good units. Yay!

i wish i had spectre

I find it interesting how you both mention Spectre, as well as a variety of other guidemakers, as being a critical operator in this permanent stage. I suppose there's strategies in which she is very useful, but despite having brought her to S2M3 during the event, I literally only used her for cleave and some staying power versus the casters at the end. I guess in a way this speaks well to the game in that there are a variety of strategies available, and you aren't entirely reliant on some operators, even though for the longest people thought this with SilverAsh and currently do with Surtr (who actually was the MVP for me this stage and with the strategy I used).

Don't get me wrong though, I completely appreciate her as an operator and recommend getting your hands on her () given the opportunity. She starts to put out some pretty insane DPS when fully masteried. If only she didn't get stunned after skill usage, but I guess that'd be too broken?

For me actually it was the easiest one of the CC aside from these long range casters everything about that CC perm was easy with much appreciated help of ifrit,surtr and mudrock and if i were to choose hardest i would choose something between #1 and but mostly #2, #1 was hella hard for me and it even made me completly quit doing that CC because of my underpower in operators and not having much meta and #2 because damn, it was a big and crazy ride for me with these katana dweebs and high pressure moments with faust where every little mistake even with placement priority would mean automatical fail

Damn. I think that one was probably the easiest for me. I don't really remember what I did for the 18 but I'm pretty sure I just had Hoshi tank everything then Gravel for the empowered shot. The weebs I just had Meteor & Exu with Ethan for the roots.

I forgot to do the daily stages twice so far so I think I have to remember to do them every day now to actually get the badge which has annoyed me. I wanted to get some of the guard badges from the permanent shop but I guess I'll have to grab them next CC instead now.

I think once this CC is over I'm going to go back and finish doing all of the challenge mode maps I haven't bothered doing yet. Think I'm missing the last one from Chapter 7 and then 3 or 4 in Chapter 8 still.

If you are interested in archiving her voice, you can download the voicelines from Aceship for the time being. No telling for how long they will stay up.

Censorship is never okay, and it's all the more fucked that it's taking place in a god damned video game for one of the most nonsensical, thin-skinned reasons possible. Insectoids will never change, and I genuinely fear for both the future of Arknights art and talent as well as any other noteworthy Chinese-owned game such as Azur Lane.

More specifically on Platinum herself, she's definitely a cutie, but then again I love horse girls, no secret or shame there. All of the Kazimerz Knights and Kazimerz-related units are just gorgeous! As an operator, she's a very odd sniper, as the long charge duration for her Skill 2 means she's more geared towards longer (and generally harder) nodes. It's no surprise then that my most notable use of hers thus far has been in Annihilation.

I'm not sure I'd say she's worth rolling or spending distinctions for given her arguably niche usage, but at full power she's one of the stronger snipers for sure. The added damage is obviously the greatest pull, but the extra bit of range she gets should not be underestimated! I'm fairly certain I've read charts before that show her being competitive with Exusiai in certain scenarios, but I've since forgotten when those were. I feel like most Snipers in general are fairly strong as units, but with how the game is gearing towards high DEF units in high-end content, they're losing their value quickly.

Even so, if you do want her, keep faith. She can always spook you during banner pulls (or be a companion rate-up for another unit you're after) and she's also available in Recruitment (though sadly with no guaranteed combo).

For those of you unaware, the best farming nodes are MB-6, MB-7, amd MB-8 for Sugar Packs, Aketon, and Oriron Clusters, respectively. All of them have noticeably improved drop rates from their normal nodes (or doing x4 of their lower tier components). A useful site I like to use in other to gauge expected sanity per drop is Penguin Statistics, so I highly recommend you all use it if you don't have an alternative. Save your time and your sanity! Be sure to set the server to US in case there are disparities between server drop rates (which I think there are, at least in some cases).

Keep in mind that there is not enough naturally regenerated sanity for you to be able to clear the shop, so I hope everyone either saved up potions or is subscribed to the monthly card. It's probably not the worst thing if you miss out, because I imagine you can get the overwhelming majority of what you need without having to worry about the rest, which itself is just extra.

I do like the visual design of the event. The whole prison aesthetic is nice, and both the new mobs and maps look great, even if a bit bland in terms of coloring. I guess that's intentional given the setting! Can't say I've been reading the story because I also skip it and save it for later because your sanity doesn't wait, it must be spent!

Is anyone getting the skins? Despite having Saria's other skin, I think I'm going to pick this one up, because seeing our Rhine Labs mommy as a prison warden just does things to me. I'm also giving consideration to buying Pramanix for distinctions and also getting her re-run winter skin. Everything else I think I'm going to let go (already have the wintry SilverAsh outfit).

As for rolls, is anyone going for Mountain? He's a big furry boy, but from what I understand, he's the best in his archetype. I'm going to forego rolling because though I may want Kafka and Pinecone, they are general pool, and my orundum is remaining tight for limited banners almost exclusively. Keep in mind that Dusk is coming sometime soon, and I think the Ni'an banner is getting its first re-run either before or after. Then, of course, there's the hopes of the RE6 banner that I am personally saving towards. I'm not a fan of how they're packing on the limited operators, but who's really surprised?

Event is quite good but with my already leveled operator collection i got through stages like a hot knife through butter, as for grinding i already famed some oil on mb-7, and rolling, ahh i wish my luck was always good but well i did 50 rolls, because i really dont care about dusk event that much, and guess i got mostima'ed at most unwanted time for her, but at least ive got some good 5* like spectre and kafka so i dont have too much to complain

I found these levels a bit too easy, it was kind of disappointing but I can understand that they also need to keep them accessible. I'm hoping that the EX/Challenge Modes are at least a decent challenge though.

I'm not fond at all of Mountain. I did my 10 roll and that was it. I'm saving everything for the next Limited banner I think. I did hit my 1k recruitments though so I got another Vulcan token. I've farmed so much stuff that basically all I need is EXP and LMD, so I'll probably just be getting Aketon since it's the resource I have the least of out of the 3 that are available in these stages.

They're also all really good trust farm stages if you have Blaze available (Spectre etc. is probably fine as well honestly) so I'll be abusing the levels for that while I'm grinding out the achievements too.

I ended up buying the Saria skin. I still had some Primes so I figured why not. I use her all the time and it's a cute skin so I think I'll get good use out of it.

I have to wonder if it would have just been best to not include the devices to restore the chains, which basically forces you to strategize more around handling the mobs when they're freed rather than having an "oh shit" button. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the EX/Challenge nodes have some sort of restriction placed upon them as a result of their value.

Granted, I'm at the point right now where I still have not had to use them (up to MB-7, haven't done MB-8 yet) so I think it's probably more a fundamental problem with their HP/DEF/RES values of the enemies.

It's fine with me, though. After dealing with those godawful casters in CC#3, I am more than happy to have a break.

They're also all really good trust farm stages if you have Blaze available (Spectre etc. is probably fine as well honestly) so I'll be abusing the levels for that while I'm grinding out the achievements too.

Yeah, absolutely! These sorts of farm-event-nodes-until-the-very-last-minute events are the absolute best for trust farming. It's very likely you should get a level up with that sweet, sweet sanity refresh at some point too as long as you didn't just have one before the event started.

Edit: Completely forgot, but as a reminder, be sure to include Robin (welfare) and any other new event banner operators you have gotten for bonus trust! I believe based off what I remember from past events you can get well over 100% trust by the end of the event for the promotional operators after all the farming is said and done.

For anyone who is curious on how to go about trust farming here, these thrree videos may help:

• MB-6: SilverAsh (S3 M2 or M3), Deepcolor (S1 Level 7) or Mayer (S2 Level 7)
• MB-7: Blaze (S2 M3), Eyjafjalla (S3 Level 7)
• MB-8: Surtr (S3 M3), Blaze (S2 M3), Nearl (S1 Level 7)

These requirements are a bit higher than what I typically see on trust farms, but I like this guy's strategy, and if you have these units they should be masteried anyway. Plus, as these are just minimum proofs of concept, you can always use whatever units you're trust building to help (as long as you don't miss with positioning or premature aggro).

Edit 2: Also, please for the love of God, don't foolishly let your sanity hit cap when you're already at a disadvantage (as mentioned in my other post above) in terms of natural regen.

Me getting caught up in other stuff as well as FGO's ongoing event lost me a few farming runs today.
