It was already talked about, but I don't think we will get an answer from ArcSys. From a marketing perspective this was probably one of the best things that could ever happen to Strive. It brought so much attention to the game and now created this rift in the player base. The trannies on the one side and us normal people on the other, but most importantly both of these two sides will flock to the store and buy Bridget, ironically for the exact opposite reasons. By never confirming it (although he is literally called a dude in the Japanese encyclopedia but trannies are already completely mentally deluded) you won't make one side mad and make them turn away from the game and they will continue to give you their money. After the whole trans craze is over and the next time Bridget will be in a new Guilty Gear game he's probably gonna be called a dude everywhere and nobody will care about it.

I think some of the biggest loosers here are artists tbh. The amount of shit I've seen in replies to their posts on twitter is astonishing. Just yesterday I was scrolling and an artist posted a picture with the caption "Cute boy" and ended up deleting it. Wish I saved it so I could find the artist.
I really wonder if the next game will actually correct this or if they'll embrace the troons and put in a trans flag costume for Him

It's Twitter so that's not really surprising. Luckily most of the Japanese artists have pretty much no interaction with non-Japanese accounts or simply ignore them and most of the time they just keep posting their art.
I don't think so because they didn't do it with Testament and some fucking non-binary color scheme. I truly believe that the devs at ArcSys never for this intended to happen, but because of the subhuman localizers and probably ArcSys' marketing department they have to keep quiet about it. So now ArcSys just play both sides and whenever the storms over Bridget will hopefully be seen as what the devs envisioned him to be (which is obviously an otokonoko).
