Ashyara | Blade Devil

Not sure if you guys do, since it's likely that we're all exclusively looking at eastern entertainment, but I keep up with the comicsgaters here in the west competing with the (dying) mainstream. One of them, RagingGoldenEagle, successfully crowd funded an indie comic (something like 400k USD) called Blade Devil and is preparing to print and ship the comic soon. It's a massive W for entertainment, and even though we very much like manga and anime, it's a good thing that people are fighting against the politically correct trend we all know and love. MHA was inspired by classic Marvel comics, and now the new creators of the west are inspired by manga and top sellers of the east.

Watching the indie scene succeed also inspired and motivated me to be where I am today, so I felt obligated to draw fanart of the main character Ashyara. Now I need to go and spend time studying stuff very intently. Enjoy!

If you're interested, Blade Devil is on IndieGogo here.

Yeah, I may have said already in the Ashyara post but RGE's been a huge motivator for me. I hope I can one day have my first campaign on the level of Blade Devil. And thanks, I do my best, and try to learn as much as I can. Slow and long journey for us self-made artists, but in the mean time, just gotta grind it out.

Yolanda - Couch Potato

Trying to deviate from the usual front and side views, as well as do full body. I'm still a very slow artist; I make a lot of mistakes and spend time fixing things. Over time, that aspect will improve. I wanted to try and incorporate some cuteness into the character, so I gave her a bow and easened up her expression. The feet were the hardest to do since I don't really draw feet, but I think they turned out alright. Lots of this piece was trying new things for me, so I hope you enjoy this piece of the lovely Yolanda! When she is resting, there's more she rests than just herself...

I'm still not entirely sure what it is, but something about this piece feels more lively than the other ones that I've done. Perhaps its the colors or maybe it's the setting, but I am loving this new direction I'm taking my art. It feels more alive, whereas the other art pieces I've done had a small element of feeling flat and lifeless, even if there was some kind of dynamism going on.

Also I think the boobs might be a bit bigger this time around? :zt-think: Could just be me.

It actually turned out pretty well tbh. She looks absolutely lovely🤌🤌 Also, I really like the pink ribbon.
Also, if she's such a couch potato with fat milkers and bum, how does she clean up her house?:zt-think:

Magic! The laws of reality don't adhere to her.

Fanart: Yolanda, Beryl, and Rina

3 piece oppai meal with yuri sauce. I've been anxious about posting this piece, since it took me so long to do. The illustration itself was not part of why it took so long, half the month was me learning and customizing Clip Studio Paint since I had just recently started using it.

This piece features my OC and mascot Yolanda (center), junkpuyo's OC and waifu Beryl (left), and erkaz's cute, azure OC Rina (right). I've been following the two artists for a while just because I love their lovely ladies and style, and I figured some fanart would be fun. Of course, with three well endowed girls, one must put their assets front and center, no? The hardest parts of this piece (aside from learning and customizing CSP and figuring out what tools worked) was making Beryl's face look close to how junkpuyo draws her (at least, as close as I could), and the hair (as always). Beryl usually has a sultry, mature, and alluring complexion, while Rina is still sexy but cute. For whatever reason I interpreted Rina to have some level of comedic value, so her contribution in the piece has memetic value (totally wasn't because I didn't know what I would do with her normal facial expression).

While I was working on this piece, I took a lot of time to explore the brushes offered by the program's standard features and by the community asset store. From Clip Studio community assets, I found a great hair brush that let me really increase the quality of the hair rendering, which was a massive improvement over what I did in Krita (I'm sure a hair brush was available but I never sought it out, kinda stupid on my part lol). One thing I will say is that I much preferred Krita's blur tool (pretty sure it's built for painterly purposes), where as the blend and blur tools in CSP functioned differently enough to require me to slow down a bit and figure things out. Even though it took a while to sort everything out, I am extremely happy with how the hair turned out. It is a signficant upgrade from the way I did it before, which felt unnatural and geometric.

Yolanda | A Weird Pose

It's a weird pose... I wonder which it is. Better late than never! The pose is unique and I decided to follow through drawing it, despite being busy with school and the fad kinda passing. Her boobs may be too big, or maybe her body needs to be larger ;)

Jack-O pose is definitely a weird one but it is a great addition to the artist's mental library. Rendering the back isn't very common, as most people do profile or 3/4 pinups.

Originally I planned to put her in stockings and barefeet, but I just couldn't get it right so I just cheaped out in some heels. I think it turned out just fine, though I think I spent too much time on it. I also think there are some issues with this illustration; I can see the perspective is a little bit flat (tbh I got lazy towards the end; I am so busy with school and I wanted to get this drawing out before it ate away at me for being unfinished. It's alright though, I've gotten what I've wanted to learn out of doing it, and now I'll leave this here to share with everyone. The least detail and effort was in the face and feet area, and the most detail was on everywhere else. Surprisngly, I think I did the skirt very well; I just hope everyone else sees the perspective of it folding over properly from her propped up position like I did in my mind. As a final disclaimer, I used some reference from momofuki rio's drawing of Uzaki Tsuki in the same pose (you can see it in the spine line). I adjusted it to make her waist area and thighs more plump, and obviously the breasts are much larger!

Damn, using her boobas as cushion for the Jack-O pose is a nice touch. :hinata-hyper:

To me it doesn't feel like the perspective is a little flat. :zt-think:

Though I would say the only thing that feels slightly off to me is the skirt not being completely flipped. Feels... I don't know... unnatural (not sure it's the right word).

Anyway, good work man. :puddicat-heart:

Mm...mm... Yes, I think the skirt could definitely have folded over much lower. But otherwise, thank you :owo-hyper::owo-hyper::owo-hyper:.
