Apparently someone decided to mention this VA in some Paimon hentai, and that caused her to sperg out about loli legality, this is mostly incorrect, but whatever

You can have a more correct explanation of how the law works on the usa here

Most hentai websites such as Gelbooru, sankaku, danbooru and even fucking fakku are hosted in the usa and they have plenty of lolis, did you ever see them getting arrested over federal obscenity charges?

Yes, you can get fucked up by obscenity because of lolis, but only in certain States such as texas, but it's extremely improbable even then. It's a really complex topic that maybe deserves it's own thread.

The protect act was deemed mostly unconstitutional during the Handley case, also it has a section for affirmative defense in case the content didn't involve any children.

Notice how she said "They", that's because she consider Paymon to be "agender" despite the fact that the original creators constantly use "she" to reefer to paimon. It's some sort of stupid self insertion, since she is incredibely fucking annoying about it

Also she pulled the "I'm a victim" card

Small update, she got dogpiled and ratiod into oblivion
Did we really expect anything else? :illya-smug:

When I read about this at first I thought it was a Japanese or Chinese VA but when I realized that it was only the American one my concern diminished :ohohoh:
As ones thought process should be :kuroko-sip:

God I wish. Ryza not having a dub was probably the best thing that ever happened to it. They're always so much worse than the original VA, too, I don't get why people want them so bad.
people are lazy and don't wanna read. Which I get, lots of times I wanna watch an anime without actually paying attention, but the VAs for dubs are (most of the time) so bad it's unbearable.
But for video games... you're already staring at a screen will reading dialogue really hurt you so much? :zt-think:

Normally i would say "Seperate art from the artist", when i didn't even play Genshin Impact with an english dub, only a japanese one.

I wonder how many people spitefully lewded Paimon after this?
Probably a lot, hell it'd be funnier if people started putting those lewds in her twitter comments just to get a reaction from her lol

I'm only familiar with the Japanese localisation of Genshin Impact. However, Chinese is similar to Japanese in that there are few gender markers and it's normal to speak and write in a way that's largely gender neutral. This is very unnatural when translated literally to English and other European languages, so it's normal for translators to automatically fill in the gap by adding gendered pronouns.

Being that I cannot understand spoken Chinese, I cannot determine whether the original creators were referring to Paimon as a 'she' in the video, so I'll just explain how the character is treated in the Japanese version.

In the Japanese localisation, Paimon's gender and age is supposed to be a mystery. There was a book title when the game was released called '少女パイモンの快楽' (Girl Paimon's Pleasure). However, in the 1.1 release of the game, the book's title was renamed to '妖精パイモンの快楽' (Fairy Paimon's Pleasure). Paimon's name is based on one of the 72 demons of Solomon. The demon in question is male with a woman's face. In the Japanese version, Paimon uses the personal pronoun 'オイラ' (Oira), which is mainly used by men. So I'm curious whether this is just the Japanese localisation differing from the Chinese, or if Paimon is supposed to be a mystery in all versions.

In any case, a CV trying to correct fans on the gender of what is supposed to be a mystery is in poor taste. Allowing fans to come to their own conclusions about a mysterious character is the main reason the character is made to be mysterious in the first place. Basically, it's up to you whether you want to believe Paimon is male, female, intersex, or the unique gender of Paimon (e.g. Hideyoshi). The staff might be planning to make it so Paimon's true identity is a plot point, like how Samus Aran (Metroid) and Sheik (Zelda: Ocarina of Time) were left ambiguous regarding their gender until late in their respective games (Zelda's English localisers messed up by using 'he' when referring to Sheik in-game; the original Japanese was ambiguous so it was totally on Japanese players for assuming Sheik was a dude before the reveal unlike English players being outright lied to in the English version).

Isn't she the one that throws tantrum just because some dude said JP voice is better? Lmao.

Also she falsely accused someone as rapist in some Twitter dramas in the past. Why would anyone follow that woman is just beyond me.
