Although I barely watch anime anymore (I prefer playing games more), I do get the urge to revisit some of my favorite Shounens or check out the newer shows, but the localized substitles always turns me off. I was already aware of the existence of the ChouMegumiDownloadNEXT, but I never took the time to explore it because it seems to require a bit of setup. However, that archive of fanmade subs that you linked is something that I've always wanted to see exist, so thank you for bringing it to my attention!
