Drama Discord banned the little nobeta server because "lewd content" thats why

The fucking official server, hell even members who just lurked there are getting warned/banned that not to do loli stuff on there apparently and goddamn this is just getting fucking ridocoulous since the redditors moved from there to discord servers are even more insufferable as hell and so are the rules too, so be like me stick to lurking on niche jrpg/anime servers (leave immediatly and yeet any post you may have made just in case you see woke shit there) or your own personal hangout place and dms and be active there and you'll be fine.

Like bruh NIS should just fucking sue discord for tampering with their buisness if anything and what do you think about this? let me know down in the comments bleow

Hopefully someone makes a thread here backing up those mods if that's the case. I've delayed playing the game because I was waiting to let modders stew this one out.

Afaik it was the official discord for the game. I dont think mod links were being posted there, but cant tell for sure.

For what I have seen it seems some bad actors got into the discord and started posting banned material and reporting it to discord.

I knew a guy in school that was "sexting" over discord.
So just as a reminder. Nothing in discord is encrypted. The creeps working at discord can read everything from public chat to DM and IIRC in their ToS they also write that they can keep revorsings of voice and video.

Too bad for Nobeta, but hopefully this gets people to use better alternatives.

Yeah I have no idea why people use discord in the first place. Like overnight everyone decided to abandon IRC and move to this one centralized platform. I'm guessing it was shilled massively somewhere.

Reddit and discord are pretty much why online forums are dead these days, and also because people social skills has gotten worse and even more easily offended over the years and evolved into massive circlejerks.

Discord is recommended as a tool to "build a community" for your product (stupid idea imo). It's all about keeping engagement. Back in the the day they used to host forums / already had a forum and made a sub-section (e.g. Blizzard).

If your product is generic, then the best way to advertise is the most eyes. However if you move in a niche it is (and always will be) word of mouth.
There was a statistic (couldn't find it rn), where WoM had a rate of like 7 in 10 engage with your product in some way, while regular advertisement was like between 1 in 10K and 1 in 1Mil.

The amount of times I found a thread after hours and the OP tried everything I tried and he then replies to a deleted comment with "This is the only thing that worked. Thanks" is at least in the high double digits.
