Discord like chat integrated in the forum

Since there were a lot of complaints about changing the discord for the forum because It's too different or slow paced, there's a plugin that will give the forum a chat with functions pretty similar to the ones from discord, including rooms/channels, but it costs money, so be fore we buy it I wanted to know if you like enough to justify buying it.

Finally, now we're attracting Discord brainlets again, because some of them complained.

Personally, I think it's better to just have the forum and the Discord. I don't know why people would use the forum chat if Discord, as a whole, still exists. All the servers they hang out in are on their discord sidebar and this weird forum chat is just for the forum. I can't see why people would bother with it.
Why not just let the Discord be it's own thing and the forum be it's own thing but have userbase overlap? Discord and Forums have different uses. Them having different speeds is fine, too.

Does everything have to be a constant stream of content? Must people be engaged 24/7 for it to be good?

The Discord is siphoning users because it's more convenient. The Discord in itself creates the shittiest culture as well.

Well the issue with discord is that to be able to link it freely without fearing it will get nuked I have to enforce some bullshit rules, such as no more nsfw, no more n words or slurs of any type, etc.

If you want a chat function you can use rocket chat to get away from discord bs. Forums are meant to be for thoughtful answers.
