Anybody here actually playing this game? Seeing as right now it seems like the best game on the market when compared to the years of non-stop woke catalog we've been forced to endure.

Sure hope From Software never changes and keeps up with this formula, seeing as there hasn't been a game this good since the release of Dark souls 3, but Blood borne still beats the best game in that category when it comes to last best game in general.

I put 95 hours into the game in the last week, it's pretty dang good. I do feel they took some steps back combat wise when compared to Seikiro, but the amount of content to just get lost in makes up for it. Them also making magic viable throughout the entire game was also an improvement. I ran around as a dragon heart eating ice witch that spewed Scarlet Rot at everyone and it was hilarious.

I do love that they can't help but make waifu after waifu with these games. The second I met Ranni, I knew what path I was going to take (and the great sword is p dang good too).

I don't have that many hours in yet, I'm about 47 hours in the game, but sorta avoided the slow and just went to the most dangerous area's to level up quicker.

Combat wise it's a lot easier than the original games or let alone Sekiro. I think that was mostly done because of the vastness and if the game were like the souls games and smaller in size it would be more doable, seeing as you die quicker with average enemies in the older game than this one. I agree that the content is more than enough to make up for that, let alone the world's design.

I'm not much of a spell user and a more upfront kinda fighter. Gives it more of a rush. I'm trying to fight General Radahn at the moment, and he is a pain in the ass with his massive attacks, and you gotta feel sorry for his horse.

I'm using the great sword in this pic.

I kept searching for Ranni for a while before I found her. Didn't want to use guides, or else you'd miss out on the wonder of discovering its world. They do need to nerf that one magic sword that makes you attack from a distance, it kinda destroys the game.

I do hope they keep up this level of quality and more people keep buying, also it was a pretty smart move to get George R.R Martin involved, seeing as the souls games have the medieval style that is present in the Game of Thrones world. Maybe if they are smart, they would go for a Berserk world and make that into a game.

Yeah, I didn't use any guides, especially since this early most are inaccurate. I took my time and explored every nook and cranny.

I do agree the Sword of Night and Fire is pretty crazy, but with how strong the bosses get later on, I understand why they made the thing. It mostly scales off of your INT and FAI so if you're leveling those then the sword can become somewhat ridiculous. After using it though, I found the Moonveil to be way more powerful (and Rain of Blood will be even stronger once they fix it). Moonveil is way faster to shooting out damage while the Night and Fire has wind ups for both ranged attacks, which aren't actually that long range. Good luck shooting off the beam when a boss fires off an attack with zero wind up.

However, none of those weapons have anything on Rotten Breath/Ekzykes's Decay. Scarlet rot attacks are completely broken, you can chunk any boss with those attacks, and the damage tick lasts for so damn long.

Continuing the comment you made about the games' story here because that other one is just for Localization in general.

Those people complaining are mostly the new casual gamer that just joined. Now they want to dictate that Elden Ring bosses need to be nerfed after they couldn't beat them.
The whole STEAM forum is like a battleground between the new woke casuals and its hardcore fanbase.

It's obvious that a Japanese man wrote the main story, seeing as even G.R.R. Martin admitted just creating the world's backdrop. Even Hidetaka Miyazaki said so, and he's the creator of the souls franchise itself. You can actually tell it's the casuals, seeing as all Souls games have the same style of storytelling when it comes to the mains story, while this one even tells you more upfront when it comes to what is really going on.

Woke casuals can't cope with the fact that Japanese have more respect for Western folklore and mythology, while all they do is bash their own culture.

The multiple complaints by the casuals are mostly,
- Bosses need to be nerfed (Because Git gud is too much to ask from them)
- They are confused about the story itself (Too lazy to read items)
- Why doesn't this game have quest markers (Too lazy to look up online guides)
- Elden Ring needs to be more inclusive (Don't even get me started about the gay article that mentioned it doesn't have enough black hairstyles)
- This game is overrated (fuck face, just move along instead of complaining about it)
- The invasion are annoying (I can't cope with being Pwned) I have to agree with one thing on this, and that is that loser hacker that keeps getting players banned by hacking forbidden items into your inventory when facing him.

Invasions in general have become easier to do when you are able to summon more users to aid you in defeating those that just use madness and scarlet rot.

It's funny that the main confusion with the story wouldn't be a problem IF the useless localizers would have just properly translated the story, and this goes for every souls game. Half the mystery isn't even a mystery at all. These people purposely changed dialogue to be more vague for no other reason than wanting creative control over the story.

As for invasion problems, I just made the active choice to not play online so I can't really speak on its issues.

I just send Bandai Namco a mail about the bad translation quality and how they never give a fuck when somebody points out their soddy work.

Up till now, I always get that miserable PR speak where they avoid actually giving me a direct answer on the general dubtitles quality of their games.
