As the title says, Fantia is enforcing stricter censorship not just on future works, but all past works too, forcing creators to delete or revise previous works to comply with the stricter policy by May 25th.
Basically light mosaics, light blurring, semi-transparent black rectangles and multiple black rectangles are no longer sufficient. The blurring and mosaics must be very heavy now and the black box can't be semi-transparent anymore.

Their excuse is that insufficient censorship can lead to legal repercussions, but I'm not sure I believe it. Only thing is that to my knowledge Fantia doesn't work with Visa, MasterCard or PayPal.
Either way I would strongly advise that if you have any favorite creators on Fantia, try and download as much of their work as you can in case it gets nuked.

It can, but that goes for all porn in Japan. There is no law in Japan that says "you must censor the genitals", rather all "obscenity" is illegal in Japan (which isn't limited to pictures by the way, text has also violated this law before, which is why you see stuff like チ◯コ). So how the police have been interpreting the law is "if this one part is censored then it's not obscene", which is obviously nonsense and gives all power to the police to change their mind and pick and choose what is obscene or not.

Basically no matter how much they increase the censorship no porn is fully safe legally until they get rid of that law.

Hentai censorship has gotten worse ever since the early 2000's. There was just semi transparent clit black bars back in the day, now there are black or white bars on 95% of the genitals.
