Interesting! It seems to me that the original JP ending was much more explicit about this mysterious dragon child that came in the far future, calling them the heir of Veyre and Lueur.
Yeah and not only that but there is no mention of them being partners, this happens in almost all paired endings...

The original and official EN localized versions for reference:
パートナーであるヴェイルは、
グラドロンの地を豊かな国へと導き
恵まれない子たちの孤児院を設立した。
そこで育った優しき竜族の子が数千年後
二人の後継として大陸を統べたという。
Veyle led Gradlon to prosperity
and established an orphanage
there. Millennia later, an orphan
with dragon blood would go on
to unify the continent.
Veyle led Gradlon to prosperity and
established an orphanage there with her
partner, the Divine Dragon Monarch.
A kind dragon blood who grew up
there ruled the continent as the two's
heir several thousand years later.

God that's such an egregious change. Ripped away any kind of hint that there might have been something romantic between Veyle and Alear. A stark reminder of the importance of the work done here to reverse this.

The mod didn't work with asmostphere cfw on Switch for me. It instantly crash the game on launch. Did I miss something?

Can someone clarify this whole situation for me? From what I've read, they removed underaged romances, but that doesn't make sense considering your character is also underaged (17). There's one with a 12 year old, but from what I've been told that even in the original JP version, it's a very tame "romance" (promise to marry when she's older).

Any character younger or the same age as mc had dialogue censored to be less focused on any type of romantic implications.

The area only talked about by the general public is the Anna romance they hyper focused on that to justify the localization changes.

In reality anyone younger is heavily censored to imply that it's not as romantic.

So I recently manage to get FE Engage working on my Gaming PC in Ryujinx. I went out of my way to get a completed save file online, in order to check out the Veyle and Alear support. However, the issue with the saved file is that Alear is married to Yunaka. I initially had the idea to edit the XML files to get the support conv and Wake-Up event unlock in My Room. However, I realize that there is no XML files for support conversation, and are instead in byte files which is much more difficult to modify as a noob. I was wondering how you gain access to the support conversations yourself, @cris1010 ?

It's actually funny. This whole experience of trying to read the uncensored Velye support led to me to learning a bit about modding as a whole, which is pretty neat! I've just discovered the MSBT Editor Reloaded tool (which the latest iteration is referred to as Kuriimu2), which led to a greater appreciation of the efforts that fan translators has made through out the year back in the 3DS era.

I have a tutorial covering that in the main post but i guess you already managed, also i didn't know about Kuriimu.

Oops! I didn't notice that tutorial lol! Thanks for letting me know. Does downloading the mod and using UABEA afterwards allows us to see the uncensored version of the support? I might just do that, and watch a YouTube video with JP audio.

Yes, you can use UABEA and MSBT in those files.

Hello. Sorry for all the posting. I just got the time to look through the bytes.bundle for Alear/Veyle, and I notice that the dialogue for them looks to be identical to the localized version? I'm pretty sure that I used the tool correctly since I double-check with Goldmary and Lucina B conv and it is the uncensored version. I believe that your progress spreadsheet mention that you completed retranslating the support, so there may be a mistake with the files itself.
Now that I think about it, there is the chance that there isn't much changes that needs to be made for most of the Alear/Veyle support. However, I'm not certain about this since Line 5 of the B-support is translated in the localization as "Mm-hmm" despite the original JP dialogue being a whole sentence.
What do you think about this situation @cris1010 ?

In the localized version of Alear/Veyle S support both of them talk about being family and about their "siblings" bond while in the japanese script there is no mention of any family stuff and they actually talk about a "new" bound, this subtle change changes the tone completely. Also there are "double entries" that were created to differentiate between male/female Alear through all the support that for some reason are not used in the english localization. And there are even bigger changes in the S-wakeups if i remember right.

About the Line 5 of the B-support Alear is asking "We only met once?"(line 4) and Veyre nods with "Mm-hmm" while in japanese says "Yes. I met you only once".

Another thing to revert: The difficulty "Maddening" is still referred to as "Lunatic" in the Japanese version of the game, as it has been for every previous Fire Emblem title. The English localization changed this to Maddening in Three Houses and this game.

Omg finding that trhough the games files it's going to be a nightmare 💀

PD: Nvm it was pretty easy XD, even the Devs themselves call it "Lunatic" in the scripting...

So I just experience all of the Veyle/Alear support and Wake-Up Events, and let me just say that you are doing God's work! Thank you so much for taking the time to retranslate them. It's actually funny how for the most part the support conv in the English version is pretty faithful to the JP one outside of the egregious change in the S support.
Also, this was my first time actually listening to the S-rank Wake-Up conversations for any character, and hearing Veyle move close to you and whisper a heart-warming comment to Alear got my heart soaring. It's baffling that the localizers try to make the Pact-Ring conv as "platonic" as possible when you have moments like these in the Wake-Up

Thanks for making the patch! It's much appreciated!

Though I'm confused about this last change you just made...
I mean... This isn't consistent with the Japanese text at all?

Bottom Text: あなたの分身の姿を教えてください
Upper Left: 姿選択
Upper Right: 姿切替
Upper Right (2): 戻る

The only consistent part is the "Back" part.

Everything else in Japanese is referring more to "form" or "appearance".

I thought the point of the patch was to uncensor the localization itself? Not to change the original text?

I'm going to fix the bottom part as its true that its way off, the other 2 are translated as other fire emblems have done in the past like the Lunatic difficulty name. Also not gonna lie this one is a fuck you to all the retards pushing the "form" and "body type" shit.
