Fire Emblem Fates Uncensored Patch

Now there seems to be a mod called Re-Fates that addresses many of the convoluted plot points of Fire Emblem if (https://gamebanana.com/mods/510547), and even adds some additional gameplay features. Unfortunately, it uses the localization as the base, and the creator decided to not make Soleil's support conversations faithful to the Japanese version out of fear of being called "problematic" or "homophobic".

Likely a product of GameBanana's modding scene being very Tumblr-adjacent. Odd, since video game modding is supposed to be Libertarian in nature.
I dislike when they call everything problematic because it's just dismissive and closed minded.

Anya route done, was super fun early on but really became a drag later, though that's an issue with all FEs. Chapter 10 was peak FE, comparable to Engage gameplay-wise.
Now to play the last route so I can backread whatever you guys wrote for the past couple pages. Time to minmax the shit out of Kamui and Aqua since we'll have 2 kids instead of the usual 1.
I just remembered something really stupid about Revelation: if you pair Kamui/Aqua, there aren't enough candidates to obtain every child character, locking you out of at least one. On my original file, Benoit/Benny was the lone loser who got nothing, and I've never obtained His Son amongst all my playthroughs. This doesn't affect Female Kamui, apparently. If I'm wrong about this, someone please correct me, but looking at my old Rev file, this appears to be the case.

This is an unfortunate case in Fire Emblem if. If you pair up the male avatar with someone who isn't an avatar-sexual, then one of your other male units will be unable to S-support. There aren't enough marriageable female units to go around if the male avatar takes one of them.

This also happens if you marry M Kamui with any of the 1st Gen mothers, no matter who

I thought as much, however, is that exclusive to Revelation, or is it a factor across all campaigns?

It's a factor across all campaigns.

It sucks that Crimson is an avatar-sexual. It would had been nice if she could had at least married Ryoma. Then again, I think the reason why she's an avatar-sexual is because she was implemented very late into the game's development, so the developers didn't bother giving her any non-avatar supports.

I see, that's unfortunate it's across all campaigns. The avatar- sexuals are such a waste of potential, like, Yuugiri being one makes no sense; She's Mikoto's retainer alongside Orochi, and would have EASILY fixed the issue of not enough candidates had She more supports. Ashura is even worse though, what with how important He is in Aqua's backstory. The bonus characters, like Izana, I don't mind as much, because they're just extra fluff if you've lost some units towards the endgame.

Funnily enough, I did pair Kamui/Crimson on my Byakuya playthrough and, maybe it was because of a mod, but Kanna's eyes were red. It's makes Her look more like Her father, and more like a dragon. She looks cool, actually, and somewhat makes me forgive that godawful beehive hairdo of Hers.

So, when applying an update for hardware, can I overwrite the files already present, or do I need to patch a brand new cia file? If this was cleared up elsewhere in the thread, I don't remember seeing it.

If you're referring to the game update, you can apply it directly.

I installed version 1.7, but then a new version came out. Do I need to completely delete and reinstall everything, or I can just delete and replace a specific folders?

You shouldn't need to delete anything. Once you have your CIA file patched with the new version, install it as you did the first time.
Some DLC text data is saved the first time you open them, but there were no changes to the DLC from version 1.7 to 1.8, so it should be fine in your case.
