Haven't paid attention to this site in a while, can somebody bring me up to speed?

I remember having fun when I first made an account and chatting in the threads with like-minded people, but it was too slow for my liking, which I suppose made sense since Varis.Forum was pretty new. So I logged in less and less, and eventually only logged in like every couple of months for a few minutes to check notifications.

Anyways, what did I miss? Has this site grown a lot and now bustling? Or is this place dead and nobody uses it anymore? What were some notable happenings, low or high, I missed out on? Any noteworthy expectations in the future?

1)Nah we're far from dead but we ain't that super active

2)We really blew up cause iirc some zoophiles were spamming horse pron on the vtuber sections iirc and yeah zoophiles ew fucking degenerates wouldn't surprsie me if they were really basic white girls using a fucking anime site just to pin us weebs for being into weird shit yet they the ones wanting to have sex wit horses

3)We've been on the spotlight a few times from turkeytom vids to even some woke discord servers like neku's shibuya underrgound as a alt right gamergate place lol

4)Most activity here happens to be from the vtuber side of things from blackjack tho my own threads does have its own following too.

5)Other activity that really blows up is the localization and dumb shit from twitter threads

6)We still have ogs that are active tho its been a while since i've really seen halo or bep on here or even jahy.

7)As for future expectations more members mo problems unfortunately i already got into some arguements with centrists trying to be all for "coexistence" and being civil and getting along with wokies yet we all seen what happens with the consequences so forget it never negotiate with the enemy.

You seem to be unfortunately mistaken about me, never had I argued for "negotiations" with politically correct public figureheads. I simply stated that it was important to point out the misleading logic (or rather the lack thereof) of politically correct individuals in a clam and collected manner rather than having a knee jerk sporadic reaction whenever the subject comes up.

If you wish to win the opposition over to your side then the worst action to undertake is to insult them, it will only make them double down harder on whatever claims they had stated.

Well as you may imagine quite a lot has happened.

From my perspective the forums seem to focus on an specific topic where most of the threads will talk about it until thry move on to the next one.

Now if you recall at the beggining of the forum the main topic was twitter and internet drama, in particular those related to anime, lolicon and PC nonsense, as well as cnesorship. Nowadays the general "twitter drama" threads are still relatively active although the lolidrama one not so much. I personally believe thats becuase most loli related drama pertty much boils down to the same "lifecycle".

Later on these forums seemed to have taking a great interest in vtuber drama and news in general. If I recall correctly it started from drama threads about Nyanners(funniliy enough I havent heard anything about her for a while) and VShojo. This later evolved (or devolved depending on who you ask)
Into other threads covering drama and news of other vtuber companies like hololive and phase connect. Now there were still other threads but the vtuber threads were clearly the most popular, it was also during the later stages of this "period" that the horsepron incident happened.
Tldr: we had a thread about ai generated vtuber lewd audio, and someone decided to make one about a horse fucking a vtuber(cant recall who it was) so that pretty much put the kibosh on that thread.

That and the waning popularity of the vtuber scene in general pretty much ended that period. That said the threads arent dead but certainly not as active as they once were.

Now currently most of us have shited our focus on localization and censorship in media, while that was always a topic present on these forums, it really took off, when, some time ago a user (cris1000 I think is his username) made a thread about a decensoring mod for the latest fire emblem game,which came marred with "localized" content. Since then, other threads for decensoring mods have come up and, in general, the most popular topics on this forum now seem to be about localization and censorship.

So thats more or less what has been going on in these forums. I have skipped a bit honestly. Like the occasial scizho posting and the one time a someoen made a yhread about someone harrassing a vtuber only to turn out that the vtuber in question and the harrasser were one and the same

Now I do not have the best memory and I myself went inactive for a while so there will be stuff I missed or got wrong.

Oh looks like that centrist who's on my ignored list got his comment deleted either by the sleeping mods here or by his own will either way, i think it should go as lesson that arguging with me online or real life is always a fail cause 10/10 times im the one who comes out on top. Oh wait its on the ignore button nevermind. :P

And yeah its pretty much antis getting exposed as pedos all the damn time and theres alot more to list as theres alot of topics that we really need to bring up to speed honestly that i don't see much other members do with creating threads as we got way too many lurkers as a result of the vtuber related stuff.

And speaking of the vtuber related stuff i really don't agree at all in any way shape or form of blackjack's idea of just making the forum solely vtubber related as we're not the virtual asylum and if we just solely was on vtuber stuff and dont get me wrong im a mori and alba sera fan we'd be even more deader than usual.

Vtubers are still fairly popular honestly but the boom has long since past and mori and alba sera still bring in good numbers.

The sweet baby inc stuff too as well and any other company like that is a pretty huge focus too.

So it comes nad goes in waves depending what the focus on with what woke shit is going on the anime or gaming industry today and mal and anilist is dying since the woke shit they be doing is turning to both places into resetera 2.0 so expect to see lot of disgruntled users there sometime soon here and hopefully they ain't centrists or tradcaths.
