( Japanese learning for tips)

① Don't be perfect.

Basically, we don't care about your Japanese( If you want to strict correct )
You should " what do you want to say intention in Japanese ?"
When we didn't catch your intention,we will ask to you.

② Kanji is not must.(But it's just a useful system)

When did you learn hiragana and katakana. You can enjoy to Japanese contents.
For example, Japanese picture books, Japanese children's book.
Most of Japanese learners are having stressful about Kanji.
Especially, you will be confused about kun yomi and on yomi .
If you want to say a advice for you.
You don't have to need to care about kun yomi and on yomi.
I mean, you should remember pronunciation of a specific kanji in only that time.
And if you learn kanji.
Basically, you should learn a Japanese idiom.
Calld 熟語(じゅくご) < Jyu ku go >
= Japanese idiom

For example, 足底(そくてい) = foot
花火(はなび) = fireworks , 電車(でんしゃ) = train.

Anyway, you should do that way for Japanese learning.

① Japanese idiom

② Example sentence.

(Example)

笑顔(えがお) = smile

かわいい笑顔 = a cute smile

笑う(わらう) = laught.

笑うな!(わらうな) = Don't laught me!

③ Don't work too hard.

If you feels tired about Japanese learning.
You should skip learning once time.
Also,I'm feeling about English learning sometimes but I don't work too hard.
Because I understand " The language learning is just a hobbie".
It's not must.
For example ,my norma is " one page a day " for English learning.
I mean, the easy little norma is important.
Anyway,it's important to continue doing.
Most horrible thing is lost motivation.
I guess, the language learning is a very very long load.
I wanna be a English native speaker but it's need for probably about ten years from now.
It's a very hard But I can enjoy at English so it's not problem.
That's all.
I hope, my advice will be your help.
Bye.

On the subject of learning the language itself I yoinked this from a thread on /v/ that's essentially a simplified guide on the steps to learning it, can't speak for it's effectiveness personally but I imagine it's probably been tested enough by autists on both /v/ and /jp/ to be worth the time.

perhaps im blind but i havent seen the most essential guide shared yet
also would recommend using this one for setting up anki, yomichan etc
heres a pretty big spreadsheet containing random stuff, havent looked it through yet but perhaps it might be interesting
japanese content sorted by difficulty, character count etc. not always accurate but can be useful
some stuff to read
place where you can read epubs while using yomichan

i have hundreds of sites saved but never really used either, some grammar guide like dojg, anki as a supplement and reading is enough to get you to n2 or even n1 level pretty fast if youre consistent and at that point relying on translators will be nothing but a bad dream. good luck 👍

Do you already know hiragana/katakana if not use realkana to learn it

Anyone have an opinion on bunpro? I tried it and i think it is a little too basic for the price

I do not use anki i think it is too easy to cheat i use wanikani it is paid but the first 3 levels are free
It has kanji radicals vocab example and pronounciation the only major thing it is missing is stroke order

I've heard from a few learners that they're worried they may use a neutral or impolite tone instead of being formal when necessary (not using gozaimasu for example), would you say that most native speakers won't care too much about this outside of a professional setting?
