I'm not sure about secure those games(For privacy)
Anyway,I'll paste URL.

"Influent" is collaboration "筑波大学(つくばだいがく" <tsukuba daigaku>

大学 = college

筑波大学 is collaboration some Chinese college(I guess)
So,that game is having to steal your personal information.
But, steam is same (´-ω-`)

You should use Deepl to that site.(Japanese)

I bought influent a long time ago on a steam sale... Its shit.

The "Learn Japanese To Survive!" on that list is also shit for learning kana.
Its more efficient to just use https://realkana.com/ to learn kana for free.

Anyway has anyone used https://www.satorireader.com/ ? it looks really useful.

I guess, this site will be helpful to you.
Well, I can recommend to Japanese medium learner this site.(But that site can convert to hiragana and kana so that site might be useful for anyone)
I guess, those storys are Japanese short novel (Some Japanese storys having a little bit hard expression)
So,I can't recommend about Japanese beginner that site.
But,If you are Japanese medium learners I can recommend this site.(sorry again explanation)
When you felt boring about Japanese picture book,if you should try to that site.

I see. According to that first video you can also sync it with https://www.wanikani.com/ to adjust kanji difficulty based on your level there. That's really helpful since i use Wanikani.

I'm definitely gonna check it out now. Thanks.

Viewing this thread is now account registration only. Therefore, if you want to share it with others, you will not be able to see it unless you register an account.
The reason is mainly due to the perverted dictionary.(変態辞書)
We have made that one unviewable to the outside world. As a result, the entire language thread is no longer externally viewable.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope that our users will understand.

Speaking of VN's, some have both English and Japanese at once like 'Go Go Nippon!' which can be helpful.

This double language option is amazing for people trying to learn JPN. I could have sworn I saw that Nekopara games also have this feature as well as some other VNs but I can't really remember any other one from the Nekopara franchise.

I've heard similar things discussed in language learning communities. I've never used any but I believe there are free alternatives. The term for when you go hunting is Graded Readers. Pretty sure there is one for Japanese that's based around news.

Nekonyan translations of Yuzusoft games include the dual language option. Its very nice but as you improve in Japanese you'll understand that they take a lot of liberties in translation. Forging yourself through fire without using english as a crutch is probably the best way if you're going the VN route, but its also very painful. Highly recommend doing dual language for Senren*Banka even if you have no intention to learn japanese and focus in on the puns/misconceptions of the gaijin heroine.

-just gonna divide the post so i can post some resources as well-

https://foosoft.net/projects/yomichan/ is a browser addon hat lets you scan japanese words. Very nifty once you get in the habit of using it, also has Anki integration so you can add words you want to memorize.

https://learnjapanese.moe/vn/ instructions on how to run textractor to turn the text into plaintext that can be used for yomichan lookups (or just for machine translation)

I've played around with Satori reader. I'm sure there are free alternatives but i doubt their as slick as the satori app. Every single book is voiced, you can tap any word for a translation *in context* of the sentence its in and you can make flash cards on the fly as well.

Sadly i still lack the vocabulary to actually make good use of it but i will definitely keep trying as i climb the levels of wanikani.
