Hololive Kiara appearing alongside Vshojo Vtubers at DigiKomi 2021

Hopeful

Posting because it might blow up. Hopefully not.

https://archive.is/DHkeS See title. (Someone who actually recognizes the Vshojo girls might want to post below of who's going.)

Reminder that Kiara's apparently friends with veibae of Vshojo, who has allegedly trash-talked Cover Corp. in the past. (Again, someone with more knowledge about this please prove/disprove these claims.)

Thoughts? I personally think it's a small matter, but this might still open the way to negative influences of the Western TBAtuber variety.

This seems to be the context (edited clip i don't have the source):

First half shes sucking off another twitch thot and then rambles about Hololive.

>She hates the roleplay of Hololive (funny how that will change in not even a minute)
that's amusing coming from someone obviously changing her voice trying to appeal to 12 year old coomkids on twitch

>they have to roleplay
Any proof? To me it seems like some choose to do it and can end it if they want. One example would be Suisei changing her voice for medical reasons.

>They don't own there model and platforms
yes and neither do you "own" your twitch channel. They can terminate your account at anytime for any or even no reason.

>they don't have any decision how they look like
again maybe true but i don't see how that is relevant since they choose it.

>If they get fired they loose everything
As if the only thing that they ever had was there model/persona. People like Aloe show that if you have talent and a loyal audience you will make it regardless.

>The whole idol culture is so messed up
She again shows no knowledge on the subject. comparing real life idol culture and vtuber/Hololive is laughable

>It feels really scripted
lmao once again proving she has no idea

>They literally support a terrible company
again no proof or even example. This point is also funny coming from someone that supports Twitch > Amazon

>the actual idols that left Hololive talked about it
Where, what and who? She seems to have all the insider knowledge yet fails to list even a single example

In conclusion there is valid reason to criticize Cover but she choose the vapid e-girl tactic being mad she isn't as popular that completely changes after seeing a way to profit.

"Hololive vtubers are, like, so fake."

> three seconds later

"Omg, we're besties! Can't wait to collab with you, fren!"

Yeah, I bet when Rushia tells stories about playing with her big brother when she was little and getting embarassed, it was all very scripted. Or when Watame talked about her father said he would leave her in an orphanage if he got custody when she was little, crying live on stream. Yeah, very scripted. And this is the tip of the iceberg, there many more examples.

She probably only watched a couple of Hololive clips and jumped to a conclusion.

it is somewhat of a small matter but remember that these people act like a plague, always starting with something most people would call a "non-issue"
the infection is always something that slowly progresses and not something that explodes out of nowhere

The way I see it is Kiara is already in "dangerous territory". I mean, she's already going to collab with some that was very opinionated about Hololive vtubers. If she decides to defend her "friend" from very valid criticism, that's going to be even worse for her.

As for the rest of them, it's that ominous feeling. We hope for the best and try to be prepared for the worst. :dead-inside:

Well hopefully their managers can reign them in if they go full retard, but be prepared to drop them should management fail.

At least the Japanese branch seem to still be mostly untouched by western e-thots.

Ohh noo!!! Those poor girls! It's half funny and half empathy.

But anyway, yeah, if anything, it's the western vtubers give off the sense of fakeness rather than the HoloLive girls (can't sure for all, but at least the few I've seen). I don't know what it is, but they don't feel genuine for some reason. I'm not a huge vtuber watcher, I just enjoy the memes and highlight clips, but Ina for sure isn't fake durng her art streams 😛 (the only streams I really "watch").

As much as I loathe Nyanners, I think going in with the heavy flamer in the pre-chat is a poor move. These kind of collabs happen because they want to reach new markets so the best way to deal with them is either not watching them or downvoting the shit out of them.

Other options are just writing in a civil way (no matter how much the pink haired hypocrite deserves the expeletives) that you won't watch the stream under the collab announcement something along the lines of "That's sad Tenchou, I'd rather not watch a collab with someone that throws her own fans under the bus". Maybe posting about it in the Hololive reddit (don't know if it is allowed, though) and not being baited into a flame war. That shows how you feel about the matter at hand and prompts the talent in question to look up what the drama is about. Being sarcastic or sassy makes people defensive.

And I do agree that they are grown adults and should be able to handle criticism, but I'll go as far as talking to them as if they were 3 years old if I think that'll get them to open mindendly listen to what I have to say
