Megathread Lolidrama

That it be.
I don't have a problem with people finding it disgusting. It's just incredibly irritating to have retards compare it to actual cp, and try and make it illegal.
Find whatever you want disgusting, but don't try to make it illegal if it isn't hurting anyone.

Yeah I remember the times when nobody was really interested what people jerk it to outside of closed adult themed groups.

I think it's horrible that those people don't understand how dangerous the prosecution of victimless (thought) crimes is.
Any country that has laws like this has opened loopholes that can be exploited for the most nefarious breaches of freedom of speech & expression imaginable.

Also every one of the antis I met is a huge hypocrite since they always said loli porn is the same as child porn but wouldn't accept that logic on things they like like furry porn, murder movies or violent videogames.

I was always under the impression that beating it to lolis was degenerate
That was kind of the point in Otaku circles, especially post-Miyazaki (the murderer, not the director). Lolicon was something that was 'no good,' running counter to proper society, and there was an inherent self-awareness in that. How many works featuring lolicons and aimed at lolicons treat the relationships as inherently taboo? How often, in the same works, are the Otakus who obsess over such things seen as a little abnormal and unhinged? A more recent example would be Miyako from Wataten, but there are countless others throughout Otaku media. It's something that grew out of a culture in which certain things are allowed so as long as they don't disturb the natural harmony of society; but, at the same time, it was a very unlikely source of rebellion.

I feel like a lot of that is reflected in a more individualist, grandiose, and irony poisoned-fashion (see 'cunny posters' and how they'll often frame their humor around pretending to be actual predators). Whether or not the irony contains the same sense of self-awareness... remains to be seen. I have my doubts.

The problem is that the Internet is very centralized these days, so these normally fringe sexual fetish groups are openly RPing on Twitter. Now you no longer have to go diving into /d/ threads, much less obscure fetish community websites or MSN chatrooms, to find the truly bizarre; couple that with a rise in a Youtube commentary community that shines a light on these normally hidden groups, and you have a lot of people being exposed to things they are blatantly uncomfortable with.

What do you mean by self awareness and irony. Would not the irony post be inherently self aware? Or did I misinderstood what you said.

I would not say its easy to find. It definetly is easier but youd still have a hard time finding it though it would vary in a case by case basis.
The main problem imo is that people feel they need to call out things they dont like. It somehow does not register with them that they can easily ignore it or block it. Theres plenty of stuff that makes me umconfortable but, as long as it does not hurt anyone, I dont go ranting about it.
I feel adding an automatic block 18+ content in twitter an other sites like it would help reduce the amounts of stupid drama.

Had you asked me that about six years ago I would have said 'yes,' now I'd have to go with 'depends;' hence why I added -poisoned as it implies that they lost the self-aware aspect.

At the risk of sounding stupid. What would that imply?
At some point a lot of the ironic things you spout become an unironic part of your public facing identity. You might even incorporate that public facing persona into your core personality as a way to solve the cognitive dissonance. I've seen it happen before with friends who frequented /pol/ 'for the memes', and I feel like I'm seeing it happen with these posters.

I think the reason they are less ironic about it its because of the increased amount of harrasement and judgement from the antis. Hell I know a whole bunch of them that started to watch loli because it pissed the puritans off. So I think the reason they might engrained more into their personalities is because of those constant attacks.
You know how the internet is if someone disagrees with you on something you feel strongly about you are more likely to "dig down" and double down.
So the reason we have more "unironic" lolicons is because of the constant fighting with antis.

That said I dont really see it imo at least not the people I follow

What I don't like is that ONE PERSON turns out to be insane and everyone blames the fiction. This is what I find unsettling.

Maybe the drones, I haven't assumed anything I spout "ironically".
This is also kind of a stretch, so if I start making predator jokes, I have high chances to suddenly decide to become a predator in time? Come on now.

Admittedly, I might lack faith in my fellow manchildren. :tohru-smug:
I'd say it's a bit more nuanced rather than necessarily wrong. "Racism" for example is pretty innate, stereotypes are meant to save your skin and are usually not wrong, hence why I'd say someone looking on /pol/ might start to see the patterns and then assume them.
Acting like a predator? You might be a joker, but you can also just be an actual predator trying to sculpt a certain image so others don't suspect, or maybe you feel guilty.
That predator-like behavior isn't innate or normal, that's one of the main differences.

I've shown FBI stats to many people, I've also shown how poverty while being a reason for crime isn't the only reason, and I made "/pol/sters" out of even some of my family members.

Since people are too autistic to make posts themselves guess I gotta dive in again
So something happened with Nessa again I guess? Niggas angry and the artist gave in.
I don't have the original post cause I didn't even know about this until a few minutes ago.
edit: Does this even count as loli drama? Is Nessa a loli? Well whatever now she is

here's the apology tweet

then there's the people who are mad they apologized, the people who're happy they continued American Imperialist Policy, and the people just sad to see another artist give in to the horde.

I feel like the whole "she's not real" is a big concession. a sort of loss.
It's just an inoffensive horny post, whether it's serious or not is irrelevant.
"man I just want to kill X". Yes, and?
you're not a politician, or whatever. you're just voicing a funny (at best) or a stupid (at worst) opinion.
who the fuck cares?

We said "she is not real" in the admittedly vain, attempt at making them see that theres no reason to get upset at this sort of stuff.
Wheter serious of a joke the fact that she is not real is the way to highlight that they are not doing anything of worth by reacting that way

Call me cynical, but why do I get the feeling he's lying about being groomed? The way he tosses it around like a javelin to justify his actions is uncharacteristic for abuse victims.

Also, personal aside, but I hate the usage of the terms 'CSA/CSEM' to describe child molestation and child pornography, it reminds me of an old Carlin bit on soft language.
