mmh a lot of interesting comments above
I agree with everyone a bit, I think there are more lolis lovers, and that there are more antis too, and that the lolis receive more attacks and especially stronger with all the media and networks constantly attacking,

Anime & Manga became more popular > People became familiar with terms used to describe either themselves or others > more people self-describe as both.

I'd say that the proportion of people who are into it, indifferent to, or are against it are roughly the same. Obviously we see more of the people who are really into it or really against it screeching online about Mongolian cave scribbles far more often. If anything, the, um, 'discourse' around it became louder and more obnoxious.

maybe hololive also plays a part in this? lots of normies love hololive and a good number of holomems are lolicons (or shotacon): Marine, Fubuki, Matsuri, Watame, Miko, etc

these make this normies reluctant to join those pedo rapey sjws who can't tell difference between reality & fiction

Is that really a big enough factor? It doesn't feel big enough to have that effect. But I'm glad if it does.

'Anti' and 'pro' is language that comes from shipping circles (you know, the art and serious business of fictional characters fucking each other); hence in this instance 'anti-loli' means you're against the existence of lolicon art and 'pro-loli' means you're... at least ambivalent? I'm not sure anymore. It's intensely faggy language and I kind of abhor that it's being used in discussions, but alas it seems to have been adopted as common vernacular by twitter lolicons. As vtubing is a groundspring of cancer, the lingo is starting to seep its way into those fandoms as well.

:kekw:
What the fuck are you on about? Anti and pro have existed with the same meaning since the 19th century.

Sounds incredibly gay, who uses Twitter for the ‘community’ aspect of it anyway lol.

The prefixes themselves? Yes. Their use in the context of 'shipping' circles? Novel. A very internet thing.
i think it's better if you call them sjw. they get angrier that way lol. In a lot of debates i notice that a lot of sjws try to act like sjw doesn't exist (conspiracy theory) or trying to say that it's a thing of the past, etc. They hate their own existence & want to be called something else. Well, if they don't change their behavior why should i change the way i call them?

I'm sick of retards just using anti and pro without anything else. I need context motherfucker, just being anti isn't good enough!
As the title suggest in this case it's about loli. Whether you defend that sort of art or don't think it have a right exists.
