I was interested with the anime at first but turns out it's not what i looking for. Bare minimum action, bare minimum war strategy, all it has are tons of talk about politics/racism but there is nothing much being done about that. This anime reminds me of Grimgar (which i also dropped, grimgar is better though)

Somehow this get 8/10 on MAL. I watched until one of the asian girl died because of the lack of map. So can someone give a quick summary of what happen after that and how it ends? spoilers are welcome.

Full-blown action, that's what happens. Literally the second part is all about them one-man armying versus the Legion. If there'll be a second season, there'll be even more one man armying versus the Legion.

This time MAL is correct, it should actually be a 9/10 to be fair.

one man army? what happen to his teammates? did they get wipe out or are they are just side characters?

did the empire managed to attack the republic's region or are they still untouched till the end?

The Legion is fucking OP, a mere team of a few veterans shouldn't be doing all that much, hence why "they" become a "one-man army". "One-man army" can be used as an expression.
And yes, the Republic falls, if you want spoilers that much.
I don't get why you just don't drop it or "trudge" through instead of ruining the process like this.

so it's not actually 1 person destroying the enemy? that's good to hear.

I already dropped it. Then I saw it has high score. There is a chance that my previous judgement might be wrong, but I need a guarantee that it's high score is not because people like lengthy world building with minimum action + naive protagonist getting a lengthy preach about reality.

Rimururu is a good example of me wasting my time. I dropped it after a few episodes because i don't like OP protagonist who steamroll his opponent with no effort, I noticed it has high score, I gave it another chance ... big mistake lol. There is no change from 1st episodes until the end. It has high score exactly because people love OP protagonist who steamroll his opponent with no effort.
