Because Anglos think they are cool and funny somehow quirky more original than what is presented in front of them, but they all write the same way in the sense they butcher the script and think it adds "flavour" as an excuse. It's no different than the long winded Shakespeare dialogue on Unicorn Overlord. It's funny how their own people hate it because they think it's intentionally long winded or it's meant to be edgy when the reality it's not even translated correctly in the first place. Any person that says the translation is better has sunk cost fallacy.

As for butchering, believe me this is always the start that you know the job is done, if they can not do justice to a game like this think about what else they will ruin. The best you can hope for is a fantl that is a patch that removes the butchered dialog and translates it as it should be.

That's kind of the thing. They wish to have that audience and i would not be surprised to hear Localizations are colluding with SBI or ESG. But like always this stuff is failing.

That audience isn't exactly the most stable mentally,emotionally and whatever shape or form there possibly is.

After reading through the Japanese and seeing it against what was written on the 8-4 end. I will not blame Japan for completely avoiding the Western Market and keeping games in their home country with AA titles, completely uncalled for and a low blow. American Translation companies in Video Games as a whole are 4th world tier in culture, all they can do is be disrespectful and dishonest. American Translators can not do a good one to save their own life and deserve the low pay they get and AI should be accelerated even further to replace their jobs so they can go back to working to something of their own paygrade.
