Even going back to the last page of the manga the context doesn't have anything related to "half-romatic" no matter how many times you try to honey up the raw texts.
The fact that the raw text uses 過ぎた話 and 拘る justifies the translation on the right even more.
Also I have noticed that this community doesn't mention anything about the translator called Moogy, his translations or the translations where he supposedly supervises can be shit at times.

I kinda see what you're saying with that example, in that it makes sense to keep the line's conciseness intact for characterization reasons, but they're kinda right about the caveman thing. "Me near, OK?" just isn't how that would be said in English, even by an autistic NEET. I'd say the conciseness is what makes it so hard to translate, and "Okay if I get close?" is probably a fine way to to keep it grammatical while still being short.
In general, the site seems pretty good to me, and I definitely agree with its Translation vs Localization section, especially where it highlights that a good localization will match the original creator's intent.
That being said, now that some time has passed, how are the localization changes in P5R? From what some others have said, many of the lines pointed out on that site have been changed. Save for the one or two censored scenes, how's the translation?

Yeah that was one of the quests I compared while I was playing BotW, and I was surprised to see they went further than the original, I figured they would remove the romantic tone entirely.
I'm not watching that whole video but I am guessing it is someone triggered by the loli romance more than the fact that isn't an accurate translation.
I really hope they didn't let NoA get their filthy hands all over TotK but I am not optimistic.
Not sure if censorship or just a bad translator who didn't understand the line. I was playing Trails and I came across this change. It's mostly fine except for the last line where she says if she wears a skirt "you'll be able to see", implying you'll be able to see her panties while she's fighting if she wears a skirt so that's why she doesn't.
