Hi there! I'm a new member at the forum. While I've made an account at the forum without an issue today, it seems like I can't make an account at the main site (apparently new registrations are limited for safety reasons):

the fedi instances are closed to signups and need manual verification because jews in israel (yes really there are logs) keep joining fedi instances that support free speech and DMing each other child pornography. Then they take screenshots of what they have done and send them to your hosting provider, your DNS provider, your CDN, and if they can find your personal information also your employer

Edit, but the key word here is "Decide". Don't bug him about it, he'll decide on his own if he wants to let you in or not.

Gaylo doesn't like interacting with most of the Fediverse, but luckily most posts on the .net site are public so you can just join another Fediverse instance and interact with the community from there (kind of the whole point of the Fediverse)

I wouldn't hold your breath on joing the varis pleroma instance though right now it's at a comfortable size and Gaylo probably doesn't want that to change. I would suggest making an account on detroitriotcity dot com instead.
 
drc is the worst instance to sign on though. roll chances signing up on any random instance instead.
