Kazutaka Kodaka of Danganronpa fame revealed in a Famitsu interview that, during development, he insisted Shinigami (one of the main characters for Master Detective Archives: RAINCODE) be made sexier.

As of writing, the game is out now on Switch. No news yet on localization shenanigans.

I've been playing it and it's pretty good so far, just finished the first chapter. If you like Danganronpa then you'll like this, since it's pretty much the same gameplay.

Based. Meanwhile, in the western game development scene, the devs insist on doing the exact opposite. I'm reminded of Aloy's concept art compared to what she ended up looking like the in actual game.

But damn, sexy is right. I should get this game. Hopefully it comes to other platforms besides Switch eventually.

It's good, I'd recommend it to any fans of Danganronpa. One problem I noticed is that the graphics hitch sometimes though, maybe a memory leak or something since I leave the game running while I put the Switch into sleep mode between playing.
