Clone Hero's pretty damn cool. The only issue is that my 2 controllers are so worn over the years, so I gotta fix them up. :mokou-lying:

mind if i recommend you pop'n music? i'd listen to its music library before doing so but building the controller for it was quite interesting (you could also just buy a prebuilt arcade style but they're around $300, and the ps1 controllers are kinda wack)

As a matter of fact I happened to be playing Clone Hero just yesterday. The originals were some of the only games I played on consoles, and I seem to recall that Rock Band removed the ability to play using a PS2 controller. I've rebound the controls so my Xbone controller matches what I remember. Plus it's got Linux support, what's not to love?

For my more niche tastes in music, I couldn't just expect Guitar Hero DLC to pop up for it, so I was drawn to the automatic track generators. Audiosurf, Beat Hazard, and most recently Melody's Escape (and by recent I mean this was the first thing I backed on Steam Greenlight). All fairly good in their own way, though I still don't have the knack for Melody's Escape even after changing the colours from Xbox to Playstation colours.

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA is possibly my favourite series, to the point I've got a partially translated copy of 2nd Extend somewhere that supports higher framerates. I've only played the first three and F.

most of the time i play rhythm games on mobile because playing songs on the shitter is nice and my closest arcade is literally in another country.
Atm its mostly Arcaea, I used to play a bit of Muse Dash until they pissed me off by CCPing.
I also have a few rhythm game gachas installed though I don't play them that much, like deresute, mirishita, project sekai and d4dj. We're getting a touhou rhythm game gacha later this year which i hope will be good.

I guess I also play Groove Coaster on Switch a fair bit but it doesn't compare to playing it on arcade.

I used to play IA/VT Colorful and one of the other Miku games on PS Vita. Man was it an ABSOLUTE fucking blast. I wasn't a pro, but these games were really addictive and so enjoyable. Especially IA/VT had some banger songs and visuals. Unfortunately IA/VT is a forced exclusive to ps vita and since emulation of that console is so slow, I doubt we'll ever see the game being playable other than on PS Vita :hinata-acid::hibiki-pain::satania-cry::seething::seething::seething::seething::seething::seething::seething::seething::seething: It's my biggest sad, man I would really like to play it again.
