I'm playing Actraiser Renaissance and so far so good, it's a pleasant surprise Square Enix of all people chose to reboot this. The game didn't seem to be doing well in sales department however.
Square absolutely sucks at promoting anything that isn't Final Fantasy. They'll release like 1 Trailer during a Nintedo Direct and leave it at that.
I remember with Bravely Default, I never heard of it until word of mouth.

Actually I find the new graphics more suitable to my taste, it's more colorful and vibrant and more detailed. The whole game is almost a total revamp, with many QoL features added to help make the gameplay less tedious. Then again some might not find this positive.
If there's any complaint from me it's that the game sometimes feel very much too intended for mobile gaming. Yes, I know it's also out for android, but I'm playing this on pc. And sometimes the game feel a bit too easy, no doubt due to all the QoL improvements like letting you use backdash to avoid enemy attacks.
I am going to make a real quick recommendation in this thread.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black- This was recently released on Steam, I can definitely say if you like Devil May Cry, or any Character Action Game especially OneChanbara and Assault Spy this is up your alley. It's basically a Doom version of Hack And Slash, where it is all about doing normal moves, to then go into strong moves and do glory kills. I will also mention it is hugely important to learn to do mix-ups and blocks as the AI will catch on if you rely too heavily on blocking, or too heavily on the strong moves, they do actually attack and you do need to go after them. It's very exciting and refreshing as a whole and would make an easy recommendation.
Some Tips
1. When in doubt Izuna Drop
2. Hold Block if stance is broken let go and Block again
3. Block and press Left stick to Dodge
4. Can charge quickly for UT at the end of Jump
5. Some I-Frames exist (X + A, Flying Swallow, etc), ninpos when in trouble
6. Focus on Upgrading Dragon Sword, 3 levels is basically going to give you combos and the performance is better it's a good weapon to start out with, Wind is also a good thing to start out doing when you get the Ninpo.
7. Do not buy Items, Items are prevalent throughout the game, they come and go.
8. When wall running, wait until Ryu is slowly moving downwards at the end of his wall run and then Press A and wall run. If you Press A he will just go on the other wall and then hop off.
Other than that. The game is an easy recommend and purchase.
Took a break on Actraiser and went back to Star Ocean 4. Just met Myuria and woowee all those bouncing boobs and tits flying everywhere. Lymle was still as annoying as ever but this is shaping up to be one of my favorite game ever.
It's really sad when you look at this game and then see how sanitized and anti-sexual the new Squeenix games have become. Star Ocean 5 was full of censorship and even old designs got covered up and toned down for the ever sensitive eyes of steam snowflakes. I think SO4 was probably the most fanservicey among Squeenix games, but I might be wrong. Sad that I can't take screenshot here though.

Remakes and ports usually come with censorship however. Are you sure it was not censored compared to the original? How is the performance? Ports can be terrible

It's basically the original with slight Gameplay tweaks to help make it better like aiming with an arrow and certain lock on improvements. The Performance with my 3060 card is a smooth 60fps at 1440p with some settings on medium.
In the distant future when civilization is on the verge of extinction, people follow the legend of the Elysium in the last city, Havenswell. In this post-apocalyptic wasteland sci-fi ARPG, you will play as Arrisa, a Blader with immortality, and explore the city ruin to find the hope of a new life.
AI Limit starts off like many games. You wake up with no memories in an unknown place. Slowly you get introduced to the mechanics and the story. Now the story is told through mostly notes, and some cut-scenes, so you must piece them together yourself, but that is not the main draw of the game. Instead it's the Gameplay
Gameplay
Have you ever heard of a little unknown indie game called "Dark Souls"? If so, then you'll know roughly what awaits you. Dodge attacks, parry enemies, die often, conserve stamin... no wait that is not part of it. AI Limit is a Souls Like, and thus takes many aspects as inspiration. But unlike many it does a few things different. For one; You don't have any stamina outright. You can run as much as you want, attack as much as you want, roll as much as you want. This is closer to something like Sekiro and defies the notion that a souls like needs stamina. You do have something similar though. Sync-Rate! This is the core system that the gameplay centers around.
Sync-Rate is a bar that goes from 0% to 100% and is initially split into 3 tiers and can later be expanded to 4. Those are then split into e.g. 1% to 40% is Tier 1, 41% to 60% Tier 2, etc. Depending on the Tier you are in, you'll deal extra damage with your attacks. So it wise to not dip too low. Especially don't dip to 0% as you will be stunned for a while. But how can you loose/gain sync/rate? It's simple! You'll loose Sync-Rate by using one of your 4 Abilities (Parry, Shield, Piercing Claw, Thunder Step), using one of the many Spells, by getting hit or afflicted by a statues ailment. And to gain it back you can either wait for it to slowly recharge up to the max of Tier 1 or by attacking enemies. It's essentially a mana/stamina/poise system rolled into one.
The gameplay feels great and once you learn how to parry, then you'll be able to beat most enemies and bosses with ease! That's right! Again similar to Sekiro you can parry most of everything! This is sometimes to the detriment of the game, but mostly it is really fun once you got it down.
I could talk more here, but would have to slowly get into spoiler territory.
Just know. As someones who likes the first Dark Souls the most and didn't like Sekiro that much. I really the gameplay in AI Limit.
Artstyle
The Artstyle is very generic and sometimes (e.g. minor NPCs) inconsistent. However, it was still a game that was charming to look at! This is in huge part because of the huge amount of armor that allows you to customize the look of the protagonist Arissa
Still there were some areas, that WOWed me when I traversed them. It's by no means bad and can stand on it's own legs, but don't expect the most unique style ever.
Games and where to get them
The game is available on PC and PS5. No Idea, why it isn't on the PS4 though. It would run. Hell, I'd think that the Switch could run it.
No idea since I don't own a PS5, but physical is IMO always better.
As a big fan of the Souls Series and someone who really likes the first one, I'm always weary of "Souls-Like". Because of that I don't play many of them, but AI Limit is a game I really enjoyed. Yes it has it's flaws (which game doesn't), but it does something more unique than just straight up (badly) copying the Dark Souls formula.
Maybe wait for a sale, but do not sleep on this one. (At least give it a try and refund if you don't like it)
Dolls Nest is a 3D action game where you can customize mecha girls and explore a ruined world. As a Frame Unit, your adventure will pit you against the gigantic autonomous factory world of Hod. Overcome obstacles using the parts at your disposal and uncover the mysteries that lie at its center.

This is a mix between armored core and DS, also with moe waifus. Not too hard. Simple and effective. Made by Nitroplus. Recommended at the price.

To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the sword fighting action game series Onee Chanbara, the events of THE Onee Chanbara and THE Onee Chanbara 2 have been completely remade in full HD. The evolution of this high-speed action game cannot be missed!
Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is the latest entry in the Onechanbara series. Two sets of buxom vampire sisters battle through over a dozen stages of high-octane real-time swordplay. Fight off the invasion in gruesome detail, occasionally transforming into a demon for short bursts of added power and speed.

The whole series I would recommend. But I would go with Origin first followed by Z2 Chaos. It looks like an action game at first, but it has as much depth as a DMC game but with fanservice and outfits to choose from. It also has similar story beats to Senran Kagura. It’s as close as you can get to it currently. Origin is basically a remake of the 1st two games and it’s usually on sale. A few tips I would like to give is with this game, Senran Kagura and a few others that may have issues with looking like a handheld game or it’s too blurry for your high end monitor if this happens despite how high the settings are turned up.
1. Run the game in high DPI Settings when the game is installed.
A. Right click browse files
B. Right click the .exe file go into properties
C. Compatibility and then click on Change High DPI settings
D. Check “Override DPI Scaling Behavior” and press ok
E. Click apply.
Now enter back in the game and it will scale properly if that glitch and issue occurs like it did for me.
Rumble Roses(PS2 Emulation)-
Made by YUKES(WWE Smackdown Vs Raw, Here Comes The Pain, No Mercy fame etc) and if you play it on PCSX2 upscaled with 16X Anisotropic filtering in the options, with the HD Texture pack from GBATemp it will look even more solid than you remember it. I will also say to get the CDRomance version with all characters unlocked in the EU Version, as this will free up more time to play the storylines and take photos in the picture mode. Which is worth the time.
