So according to these localizers Mecca actually exists in the world of Trails...honestly, I am not sure if these localizers care about how much immersion they're breaking with their crapy translations... (I know it's a general expression people use in our reality, but it doesn't make sense in the context of a fictional world that's not related to ours).

I dont think this one is bad per se
The fact that they arent capitalizing the word mecca means they are probably using it as per its dictionary definition and not the place in our world

Still, the term wouldn't exist in a fantasy setting...because the definition is tied to a real place in the real world we live in.
If there was a place in the game's universe where people of a specified group (a place that is similar to Mecca) gather at and they used that instead, it'd make more sense....otherwise they should have translated that differently.
I just think it was a poorly thoughtout translation that didn't regard the origins of the word.

The issue is not the TL itself, it is the attempt to virtue signal and brown nose that reveals his quality of character

If they were going for "Man is with child" (someone or woman is with child) which does refer to pregnancy then man child is still the wrong term to use. But looking at the original post they were doing it just for the sake of it. The term "man child" is one most people do not associate with pregnancy but to a man not acting his age or being immature.
