Twitter users have found yet another English-translated game that is less than faithful to the original Japanese version, as Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen removes the mentioning of the word "woman" in every instance where it could be deemed "offensive", with such censorship becoming more and

Sankaku is NSFW and clickbaity but the topic is relevant. This is especially annoying to me because i have noticed this exact phenomenon lately while playing FGO in Japanese. Lolcalizers keep removing any mention of gender, especially about women and rewrites it to be gender neutral.
For example: a woman (Suzuka here, but also others) said if she can't even live up to a certain expectation, she's trash as a woman. EN changes it to: i can't live with myself. Male characters use this expression too (if i can't do this i'm not a man/trash blabla). I haven't check if they do the same but wouldn't surprise me if they left the trash part intact for the guys.
Shimousa is even more infuriating because it concerns the chapter's main character: Musashi. For context: The Miyamoto Musashi from FGO is a woman from another parallel Universe. It was surprising for her that the Musashi in our Universe is male. One of the main focus of her character is that she is a woman and her struggles. Not only was she compared to boys growing up (Father kicked her out because he wanted a son) but even in the main story, other characters keep coming back to the fact she's a woman as well. Yet again, they rewrite specific mention relating to her being a woman. For example: after defeating Raikou, she praises Musashi with: "your competitiveness does not lose out to any MAN" (the word MAN was emphasized, i may add). EN changes that into: your competitiveness does not lose out to any SWORDMAN. Again making it gender non specific.
There are a lot more examples in this one chapter of this one game alone. And i only caught those because sometimes a sentence is difficult to understand (FGO's a bitch to read), so i've to look at multiple translations for that sentence to get the meaning, including the official NA one. I'm sure it's 10x worse if you go over the whole script. And this is in addition to NA localization for this game being a clown show already.
And let's be honest here, it's an American thing. Don't these clowns realize that no one outside America is as obsessed about gender as they are?
