Square Enix's Manga UP! app removes black bar censorship in favour of blurring/smoothing

Square Enix, in a rare display of (almost) listening to their customers, has removed the infamous black bars from all affected manga chapters on the Manga UP! app.

Archive here from Bounding Into Comics.

However, they're still censoring artwork by blurring and smoothing out explicit fanservice. This app is worthless when free, uncensored options already exist.

Holy fuck that censoring is awful. They genuinely just... ruined that panel. It's so bizarre and noticeable.

The most surprising thing about this is a company actually listening to people.
Still a cancer proprietary app that should be avoided tho
