This is going to be a Pseudo-Rant/Discussion. It's no secret that everywhere we are seeing Video Game companies trying to get this magical Global Audience, and it makes sense that they are going to try and change their language for it, and also try to do things that will hurt them due to attracting a temporary casual audience. For example
1. Watering down gameplay elements like in Tekken 8/Monster Hunter Wilds.
2. Trying to censor any feminine men or traps and perform history revisionism like in Guilty Gear with Bridget(hand in hand with Localizers to make it "Marketable") or Fanservice outfits(Dragons Dogma II etc etc)
3. Turning all these traditional games into Live Service elements when it does not make sense and it's just paying a lot of money for so little content like in Monster Hunter Wilds and even Tekken 8.
4. Adding Dubs to everything. Because does anyone notice that the amount of people who hate reading and defend the worst censorship decisions are always those that love Dubs? It's very interesting how that works.
We have known this has been their concentrated effort to replace the hardcore or loyalist audience, than to make the games simpler to help those willing to learn the game itself to enter in. But now let's get to the more interesting part, the new pivot for "Broader Audiences" or as some will mention "Wider Audience" I just noticed two articles today on this pivot in language thanks to someone linking a Noisypixel article.

Now this is important because anything that indicates "Broadening" or "Growing beyond the fanbase" is basically an indirect way of saying they wish to replace the middle of the pyramid with the bottom half. Example below.

this also does a good job of talking about issues of Tekken 8 and also what is happening throughout the Gaming Industry as it stands.
It also is extremely convenient there is another article of this happening as well in which Yoshida himself mentions something interesting. After completely defending Dawntrail and basically hiding from any Q&A's he decides to talk about reconnecting old and new fans.

It's very weird he talks about "Nationality" "Gender" and all this sophistry flowery words with a noble goal to connect everyone together. But has he not realized like the rest of these execs that there was fans that are female, different races, and nationalities that liked these games BEFORE they came in to ruin them? or allowed it to become so bad? Then again this just reminds me of the whole "Global Standards" trying to pivot around the whole thing thinking they are appealing to a huge audience, when the audience was growing when they made what they liked, felt passionate about and wanted to share it with the world and tried to keep it as uncensored as possible. It seems like nowadays it's all these excuses or wordplay to gaslight people into thinking they care when they are just trying to change the tradition of the franchises and replace on audience with another. Not grow and expand what they currently have by being themselves, not by being something they are not.
Maybe I am off base, but I felt like ranting because seeing franchises or other communities adjacent to my own in bad shape makes me mad. If anyone wishes to discuss sound off below because I can not be the only one who feels this way.
