Discussion Unpopular Anime Opinions

For me, it's that I genuinely liked Fairy Tail and thought it was a good anime.
I am completely with you here. I will never for the life of me understand why it gets the sort of flack it does, especially when the same detractors so often cream their pants over other battle shounen despite many of the same criticisms for Fairy Tail also applying to them. Most of its flaws are a result of the genre itself, something I hope Hiro Mashima will graduate from at some point because I can definitely see him handling more mature works.

I think it's because Fairy Tail has more comedy and fan service than most of the other mainstream shounen. Similar to how Fire Force constantly gets shit on for its fan service. Also I read Mashima's new manga, Eden's Zero, and it's quite a bit darker than Fairy Tail; I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Don't know how unpopular this is but here we go.

I dislike harem plot in romance stories. It just feels cheap and makes me not care about the conclusions since all possible endings will piss me off. I especially hate it if the MC is purposefully leading the love interests on.

I think Fairy Tail was pretty good. Having read Rave Master before trying Fairy Tail I could see too many similarities for my taste, but Fairy Tail had good moments. If you consider the anime, it had some awesome soundtracks. As someone who listens to anime, games and movies soundtracks way more than "regular" music (couldn't think of a better term), I thought it was amazing.

I especially hate it if the MC is purposefully leading the love interests on.
Yeah, that doesn't sit well with me either. I remember when I read Love Hina and was like "is this for real? it's clear where the story will lead to. geez..."

Yeah I get that. It ruined Arifureta for me (the light novel, the anime already had a ton of other issues).

I had the same feeling when I started reading Eden's Zero. It felt like it was way too similar to Fairy Tail but I think that's just because Mashima has a very specific style for good or bad; and yes, the Fairy Tail OST has some bangers. I especially love some of their openings.

I personally love fairy tail, I can't hate it because it forms an important part of my life, but more objectively speaking, fairy tail has many things that I can complain about and that cannot be ignored. Anime has its moments, and I always had fun watching it but at some point it deviated from what could be a good series. Even so, no matter how much I criticize him, I cannot stop loving him. I have high hopes for Eden Zero.

Yes, really many of its defects are defects of the genre itself, but there are more things that give for complaints. Even so, I am not one of those who believes that Mashima is bad at his work, quite the opposite. He managed to make fairy tail reach the hearts of all his fans even with his mistakes and shortcomings.
Also I read Mashima's new manga, Eden's Zero, and it's quite a bit darker than Fairy Tail; I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
Eden Zero draws my attention a lot if he works it well he could become one of the best so far, and in the hands of J.C Staff ... I think the anime is in good hands. A lot of the staff have previously worked on fairy tail, with more production time and a good job from Mashima in the story, I think something really good can come out

mmmh let's see, I think the harem is not the problem, most stories of this type are simply getting on very badly, but some like 5-toubun have known not to drown in their own cliche and make a difference. I personally do not like the unnecessary harem that they tend to put in almost all romantic comedies nowadays, because it is generally unnecessary and damages the story. But gender is not the culprit, as there are good examples of how to use gender correctly and that they work. I can understand your point.
Yeah, that doesn't sit well with me either. I remember when I read Love Hina and was like "is this for real? it's clear where the story will lead to. geez..."

It seemed good to me Love hina in her moments XD
the harem have a very good resource to exploit and it is the mystery, the question of who the MC will end with in the end, unfortunately many prefer to leave an obvious ending and exploit the hecchi and fanservice.
5-goutobun and Hentsuki work their harem very well.
Yeah I get that. It ruined Arifureta for me (the light novel, the anime already had a ton of other issues).
Arifureta seemed very bad for many reasons

Takahashi is very good, almost all his works have a very good level [although my favorite is undoubtedly Yuki Kaijura, this woman is on another level XD]

What about of characters that everyone hates? I personally like characters like Makoto [school days] or Shinji [evangelion], in Shinji's case it is true that he can be very irritating at times but objectively speaking, they seem to me to be very well elaborated characters. What other characters does everyone hate but you love?

Another topic that probably if I mention in another place they will take my head [since we are talking about harem], is how much I detest Kanoujo Okarishiamsu ... I really don't know how everyone can like that, someone give me an opinion that let me have a more opend mind please.

Oh yeah, Fairy Tail isn't flawless. The Alvarez arc had a bunch of problems.

The Edens Zero manga is great imo so I hope J.C. can do a good job with the anime. I do have trust in them though and the first two episodes were good.
Arifureta seemed very bad for many reasons
The anime or the LN? The anime definitely was bad. I read the LN before the anime came out so I was hyped for the adaptation, and seeing that first episode when it aired...biggest disappointment of my life. The first volume of the LN was incredible imo and even though it dropped off with volume 2 when the romance dynamic turned into a harem dynamic I still like it. It didn't deserve the adaptation it got.

I don't mind Kanoujo Okarishiamasu tbh. The concept and characters are pretty stupid. The mc is a simp, three of the harem girls pretend to be other dude's girlfriends for money, and the fourth is a sociopath. It's all so insane that it's enjoyable at least in my opinion. Though I absolutely can understand why you'd hate it.

Eh, that could be a big contributor, as I have seen many people cite that as a source of their discontent. I don't know. As someone who has never had a problem with fanservice, I have never understood the nearly rabid distaste some westerners have it. Prudefaggotry will always be a plague.

Also I read Mashima's new manga, Eden's Zero, and it's quite a bit darker than Fairy Tail; I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
Yeah, I've read a bit of Edens Zero and see it as well, which just makes me all the more confident that he'd be able to pull off seinen if he really put his mind to it. He's still not hitting the sort of maturity I'd like to see, but considering it is indeed darker than Fairy Tail, it's a compromise I'll have to settle for.

I want to have faith that the anime turns out well, but I am not as confident in J.C. Staff nor what I have seen so far. The animation in many areas feels very standard and uninteresting, but I will hold off any lasting judgements until the series gets further underway.

As someone who listens to anime, games and movies soundtracks way more than "regular" music (couldn't think of a better term), I thought it was amazing.
Yep, completely agreed. Yasuharu Takanashi is fucking talented as hell, and this is coming from someone who typically detests battle shounen soundtracks. There's simply a lot of character, flair, and emotion to his tracks. I still have several of the themes from Fairy Tail in my playlist. It's funny how a lot of the haters or even those more neutral towards the series tend to admit the music is good. I must say I am a bit disappointed he didn't reprise his role for Edens Zero, but I'm still willing to give the new composer(s) a chance.

It felt like it was way too similar to Fairy Tail but I think that's just because Mashima has a very specific style
I've noticed this myself, honestly. Mashima really does have a preferred template and likes to stick to it. Don't even think he tried to hide it with Edens Zero, given that Rebecca is very similar to Lucy, Elsie is basicaslly Pirate Erza, and Happy is Happy. I'm sure this even extends further back to Rave Master, but I never watched or read that.

I personally understand if people take issue with him repurposing characters like this, but it doesn't bother me that much, as I enjoy their foundations.

Yes, really many of its defects are defects of the genre itself, but there are more things that give for complaints.
Absolutely, I didn't mean to imply that it was absent of its own shortcomings if I did. I don't think Fairy Tail is remotely perfect and it has many flaws, but then again so does every series. My position is mostly that its flaws do not merit the sort of widespread, almost cult-like hate that the series gets by western elitists. They aren't criticizing issues with the plot as far as the story goes, such as what @Augustus mentioned with the Alvarez arc. I could respect their positions a little more if they did, but they merely get a surface level taste and then shit on it all because of their preconceived and unjustified biases.

I dislike harem plot in romance stories. It just feels cheap and makes me not care about the conclusions since all possible endings will piss me off. I especially hate it if the MC is purposefully leading the love interests on.
I understand what the appeal of harem. You have a single character that is being fawned over by a multitude of attractive women, typically complete with a variety of personality types that leads to many exciting, interesting, or entertaining encounters. It's basically an ideal scenario for self-insertion, but that is something I will never, ever fucking understand. If you sit from my perspective as one who wants to enjoy a story with characters, you start to notice how surface-level their relationships truly are in the end. If there is a harem in which each individual relationship with the protagonist and his/her bitches is well-executed, someone please let me know, as I have yet to experience that.

You also hit a good point with how it's almost impossible to be pleased by most if not all of the endings, since certain characters may get unfairly shunted and potentially in distasteful ways. I also agree with the leading on bit, and that tends to happen with half of harem protagonists, which are either mega assholes or complete fucking losers. Again, please find me some exceptions, I would genuinely like to know.

yes i understand what you mean
I also prefer less predictable endings, which is why I like 5-goutobun and it should be a good example for all shows of his style. :anime-think:

I have not read the novels so all my criticisms of arifureta are exclusively towards anime, do not worry I am not going to mess with the novels without having read them before,:flan-yea: although I already see that even the followers of the novel believe that anime is bad .
I don't mind Kanoujo Okarishiamasu tbh. The concept and characters are pretty stupid. The truth is that the characters irritate me a lot and the story has nothing special and is predictable, although I must admit that I have seen worse things.:anime-think:

personally I have no problem with the hecchi or the fancervise:cat-blush:, the problem is when the series feeds only of this, without contributing anything else to the viewer. I mean when anime is pure fanservice and nothing more. [I don't think that's the case for Fairy Tail]
Yeah, I've read a bit of Edens Zero and see it as well, which just makes me all the more confident that he'd be able to pull off seinen if he really put his mind to it. Well, it's not that I think that the animation is going to make a difference, I just think that they are not going to mess up it as was the case with fairy tail and the bad animation of its last season that was well below the second. [especially after Dragon Cry that had set production expectations quite high]
I also read the manga to some extent, it was not much but it looked quite interesting and everything related to space seemed very original and how things worked in it, the manga has some pretty beautiful scenarios I hope the anime is up to the task in visual.

Takanashi is one of my favorite composers [it sounds like I only see naruto and fairy tail but nothing is further from reality XD]
imagine Eden Zero with the fairy tail OST:hinata-hyper: amazing

Yes, I can understand the point, I have come across many comments about fairy tail that don't make any sense as if they criticize for criticizing.
I understand what the appeal of harem. 5-goutobun does not work for you? :asui-what: ...

I don't think I should put many visual novels as an example.
Kami nomi zo shiru sekai I think is another good example.
Well, since what you ask is a satisfactory ending, I think the best is Kami nomi, not that the ending is especially good, but it is very satisfactory in my opinion. It is well above the average harem.
And how about monogatari? We all know who wins from the beginning XD so the end is not really important here :hinata-hyper:
I personally really liked another recent Hentsuki or Boku tachi wa benkyou ga dekinai
Well, I still don't know the end of some of those, but they look good oriented. [no spoilers please, I don't know the end of go toubun either]

I can think of a lot of good harem but it's really hard to decide on one with a satisfying ending ... but I don't think the ending is all that matters.

I want to add another very unpopular comment ...

I hate jojo it's very bad wherever I grab him.

I find myself unable to understand what fans see in jojo ... someone please enlighten me?

I'll do my best to provide some enlightenment as I would consider myself a strong fan of the franchise, though not to the extent that I will show my ass and make everything about it. I'm sure you know exactly who I'm talking about, and in reality, I disliked the series at first because of the fanbase. Things changed once I finally bit the bullet and gave it an honest watch. Now, here I am, excitedly waiting for the release of the adaptation for Stone Ocean while I plan to order Vento Aureo's hardback manga volumes when they decide to release it in 20XX...

It probably helps if we get a full understanding of what JoJo actually is at the end of the day. I think the best way to describe the series is that it's a manifestation of stylized chaos. As much of a cop out as it may sound, you're either going to like that or you wont.

Let's take a look at the first video that got me interested in the series:

What the actual hell is going on here? What is this color scheme? Why are the bodies so blocky? How the fuck did that grenade trick even work?

So many scenes have such outrageous things happening that you're constantly pondering the insanity of it. The "oh shit" moment when the grenade unlatched the other grenades was entertaining as all hell to me.

Again, many of the same types of questions apply. Why do the cops look like ugly bastards? Why did they feel the need to extract a booger as a show of force? How the fuck is Joseph so strong? What the actual fuck was that trick with the soda?

You see what I mean? Every confrontational scene is stimulating. Of course, these are all subjective experiences, and they'll vary between both fans and non-fans. If you really didn't find yourself interested by what was going on, I can't say I understand it, but that would explain why the series may not be a good fit for you, because these are relatively tame compared to what occurs down the road.

Speaking specifically on the "stylized" aspect of the series, from the creative and multivariate use of colorization to the musical themes and references, it's a fairly exciting series to both watch and listen. The overwhelming majority of anime do not go to the extent David Productions do in terms of bringing JoJo to life. Of course, I'm not saying this is an objectively good thing, and for many it's a turn-off. I understand it, but I disagree and find it rather one of the series' main appeals.

Araki also has a very particular and peculiar presentation of his male figures, which often blends the line between incredibly masculine (extensive musculature, dedication to justice, physical prowess and aggression, etc.) and femininity (color usage, apparel for certain characters, etc.). Perhaps this is uncomfortable for some, but I like to view it as just a comprehensive view of humanity itself, especially since the same applies to the female protagonist, Jolyne Kuujou, in Stone Ocean. I feel like it's okay to actually enjoy this as well compared to if it were executed in the west, since Araki isn't trying to make some cancerous social statement but is instead just exploring his artistic views.

As for the chaos, well I believe that becomes very self-explanatory. A lot of things happen, and many times they don't make sense outside of the wacky and often contradictory rulesets Araki develops for the world. Fans are also very much aware of Araki's shortcomings. Within almost any lore discussion, someone will invoke the infamous "Araki forgot" statement. Of course, this wont appeal to everyone. I see many people explain their neutrality or dislike towards Nichijou in the same way, and it become a comedy-oriented series only adds another layer of subjectivity.

Curiously, turning things around to you, what is it you don't like about JoJo? Rather, why is it you hate the series? Perhaps even more importantly, how much of it have you actually watched? If you attempted to give the first part a try and didn't like it, you need to understand the majority of the series is not like that. Phantom Blood came off as Araki merely testing the waters, but Battle Tendency started the series on track to where it would largely end up come Stardust Crusaders and onward. The battle dynamics also changed with the shift from hamon to Stand power. I should also mention that both of my introductory clips shown above were from the second part, not the first, which tends to turn away many unfortunately due to its slower pace and less exciting events.

Of course, I'm not trying to force you to like it, as many fans of the series will do. You are completely justified in disliking it if that's your position. I just want to see if there's any misconceptions I can clear up, because personally I've found this franchise to be one of my favorites and want others to enjoy it as well if possible.

Happy Sugar Life sucks and I don't understand why so many people like it.

The story is that a high school girl named Satou adopts an abandoned young girl named Shio, and she quickly becomes completely obsessed with her since this is the first time she's ever felt love. Keeping Shio a secret in her apartment room, Satou is willing to do anything to keep their "happy sugar life" afloat...no matter who or what stands in her way.

Okay, sounds like a great premise for a horror story, I'm interested to see where this goes. But here's my main problem with the show:

Despite having a sociopathic yandere with little to no morals as the main character, the show is too scared to have her do anything too evil. Almost every single time Satou does something morally wrong or crazy, it's targeted towards a complete monster who was clearly going to harm somebody unprovoked. Sometimes it doesn't even have to be morally wrong and she does what any person in her situation would do, like when she stun guns nameless npc thugs who were in the middle of beating up a small child for fun. So instead of "Oh no, this poor sucker got on the yandere's bad side", it's "Evil people kick the dog, and then they immediately get owned by my waifu. What karma!"

The best example of this is the original apartment room owner. In the first episode, Satou mentions how lucky they are to have this room, then the camera focuses on a bloody bag in the closet. So naturally, the audience assumes she murdered him so she could have the apartment all to herself. Then several episodes later, it turns out the room owner was right about to murder a sick Shio in her sleep and Satou only killed him in self-defense.

I guarantee the only reason why the scene is from the first person view of the room owner is because they realized this would like the 5th or 6th time somebody seemingly normal changes like a light switch, puts on their anime crazy face, and tries to hurt somebody innocent, so they wanted to disguise the repetition.

Imagine if in Halloween, (or really, any horror movie) the only people Michael Myers killed were crazy rapists and thugs instead of anybody likeable or interesting. By making Satou almost always justified in her actions, it becomes generic revenge porn instead of a horror anime with a unique and interesting premise.

Let's see, maybe I overdid myself saying ´´hate `` since it is not really that I hate the series, I was just unable to understand what people see.
We go by parts
1. I do not want anyone to believe that my criticism of the series is baseless, despite saying things like ´´I hate it``, the truth is that I have seen the series until Diamond Is Unbreakable and I plan to see all the animated material that I lack and what comes out too.
2. your explanation was very good, thank you. I can see that our views are not very different and that the problem is merely subjective. We both see the same thing in the show, but it doesn't have to be for both of us.
3. I can say that the best thing about the series is its production, I really recognize that David Productions and all those involved make the series with a lot of love for the franchise, obtaining an adaptation that could fill the expectations of any fan [I do not and include as a fan] .
4. However despite all that I still believe that Jojo does not deserve all the fans he has, I can see that it is not your case, but many fans put Jojo through the sky when it really is not like that, it is a series that has much to criticize and that I do not consider that we should ignore.

I just do not like how badly managed their story is, everything is very absurd, convenient for the protagonists, they want to make everything too epic, the protagonists win because in most cases, and many times they have a quite interesting plot and end messing it up [which I saw a lot in Diamond Is Unbreakable to the point], I just think the whole storyline and script are very stupid and convenient... I can add a lot more things but I don't want this to get too long.

It is interesting to see that someone talks about this anime, personally I do not have such a bad opinion of the anime, at the time I liked it, but it was already coming that it was not going to be good and the ending was very very bad. I think that since I never set very high expectations, I just didn't disappoint much. [I think this is already a pretty bad opinion XD]
I did not understand that anime was very popular, probably those who like it is one of these things:
1. has not come across good series of the psychological genre combined with moe [good examples would be Madoka Magica or Gakkō Gurashi]
2. they just liked the protagonist and / or the yuri touch that the series has ... since it doesn't really add much more.
3. some subjective reason that I can't understand XD
I don't think Satou was actually that bad, she just created an illusion in her life, that ´´world of sugar `` and she did not want her to be unleashed, but I really think the character, although it does seem like a bad yandere attempt , what the series wants to show is how hard his life is and how he tries to create some love in it. I think that's what what you explain in the spoiler tag is meant to show.
I don't think the series is really bad, it just falls short of what it wants to show and wanders a bit through the branches of the story without getting anywhere interesting, so I can't say it's good either. Something regular, a 4 to 6/10 for me, no more or less than that range.

Eh, that could be a big contributor, as I have seen many people cite that as a source of their discontent. I don't know. As someone who has never had a problem with fanservice, I have never understood the nearly rabid distaste some westerners have it. Prudefaggotry will always be a plague.
Puritans ig. They want to be a part of the anime fandom because anime is now trendy but get uncomfortable with what anime actually is. Case and point, the war on lolis.

Yep, Eden's Zero isn't that dark but it's still quite a bit darker than Fairy Tail so it's progress. I have hopes in J.C. Staff but ig we'll have to see how things will turn out.

Yeah he has his style for good or bad. I can understand the criticisms that Eden's Zero is just a Fairy Tail. Besides, even if they start a lot like certain Fairy Tail characters, it doesn't mean he can't take them down drastically different directions.
I have not read the novels so all my criticisms of arifureta are exclusively towards anime, do not worry I am not going to mess with the novels without having read them before,:flan-yea: although I already see that even the followers of the novel believe that anime is bad .
The anime adaptation of Arifureta was one of the worst adaptations I've seen outside the later seasons of Tokyo Ghoul. I could probably go on forever on the things they fucked lol.
The truth is that the characters irritate me a lot and the story has nothing special and is predictable, although I must admit that I have seen worse things.:anime-think:
Yeah that makes sense. It's definitely not that deep or nuanced of a show and is overall a pretty standard harem show just with e-girl overtones.
The manga is pretty good imo. The anime's animation is pretty generic but mediocre animation isn't something I judge too harshly. Not every show can be given the greatest animation.
I hate jojo it's very bad wherever I grab him.
I never watched Jojo but tbh I don't really feel that compelled too. Every character being overly masculine isn't the most appealing to someone like me who is generally turned off by that sort of thing.
Happy Sugar Life sucks and I don't understand why so many people like it.
I haven't heard of Happy Sugar Life before tbh but reading your description it does sound like it has a lot of issues.

I don't know if this is the correct thread but I think it goes well with the topic.
What they tell me about Fate / stay night: Heaven's Feel movies
I have met many people dissatisfied with the movies and I do not understand why, most of them say stupid things like that it is better that they put the three scenarios together or that there was no need to repeat the story, but I think they are just ignorant talking stupid.
I saw the last movie recently and I'm still quite hyped with it, I really liked it and I think it's the second best of the entire franchise [after Zero]
I want to add that Grand Order violated the frachise and has done what it wanted with the story, for me it is good to see again how Heaven's Feel returns to what is really good in Fate, which made me start to love the franchise
I have a lot more I can say about the trilogy, especially the closure and the psychology of the characters but I will wait to see some answers.

I still need to see the Heaven's Feel movies tbh. I want to find the perfect time to binge through all three movies together. And you're right, they're a nice break from Grand Order; and I say this as a Grand Order fan.

I am not at all familiar with this series, but I assume you're asserting that it doesn't follow the typical harem tropes and issues I mentioned in my post? If that's the case, then perhaps I will need to look into it.
And how about monogatari?
Admittedly, I have experienced very little from the Monogatari series besides a few clips here and there, some of its excellent music, and of course all the great artwork of its many attractive and well-designed female characters. Its convoluted history and watch order have proven daunting to me to say the least. I suppose it is ultimately a harem story, but given that Araragi comes off as neither a fuckboy nor an invalid, I could see myself vibing with both his character and his conquests.
I can think of a lot of good harem but it's really hard to decide on one with a satisfying ending ... but I don't think the ending is all that matters.
I... somewhat see what you mean here, but at the same time, if the ending is not satisfactory then in my eyes it tends to invalidate the journey along the way. Perhaps this is just a consequence of how I am a very sequential, cause-and-effect person, but it almost feels insulting if it doesn't conclude in a proper way. And I mean a proper way; the ending doesn't necessarily have to be happy. It just has to make logical sense in the context of the storyline.

As for your other suggestions, I may look into them as again I don't have anything against the harem genre, but nothing I've experience thus far has lived up to my potentially unreasonably high standards for it.

However despite all that I still believe that Jojo does not deserve all the fans he has, I can see that it is not your case, but many fans put Jojo through the sky when it really is not like that, it is a series that has much to criticize and that I do not consider that we should ignore.
Fair enough. We'll have to agree to disagree then.

I want to add that Grand Order violated the frachise and has done what it wanted with the story, for me it is good to see again how Heaven's Feel returns to what is really good in Fate, which made me start to love the franchise
I don't really see what you mean here. Even if you don't like the direction the Grand Order story has been taken, as far as I know it is its own thing. The way that the traditional Fate stories function are not that conducive, at least in my eyes, to the sort of gacha style progression that FGO has going for it, so naturally it's going to be a bit different. I don't understand what's so offensive about the direction the game's plot as taken. And anyway, funds from the game can be viewed as going towards developing other projects more in-line (in your view) with what Fate is supposed to be.

I have a lot more I can say about the trilogy, especially the closure and the psychology of the characters but I will wait to see some answers.
This would be an excellent point of discussion but perhaps a bit out of the scope of this thread, especially since you're likely to veer into spoiler territory. I would suggest making a new thread under "Anime" and link back to your post here should you want to continue that path.

that was a quick reply XD
grand order has some points that I can mark as good, for example in the current Camelot movies there are possibilities to see a deeper development in the classic character of saber, as well as other characters who treated very badly like the saber of Apocrypha
I think this camelot bow has potential, but the previous ones were simply very bad...
but its production is good.

I can understand the criticisms that Eden's Zero is just a Fairy Tail.
Hey hey now, let's be fair! Edens Zero is a science fiction Fairy Tail! Hiro at least gets some credit there, eh?

God, what have I started? I may very well go into my spiel about how science fiction and fantasy are intertwined and almost the same exact thing aside from setting...

I never watched Jojo but tbh I don't really feel that compelled too. Every character being overly masculine isn't the most appealing to someone like me who is generally turned off by that sort of thing.
So, I not only completely understand your reservations but even share them myself. Over-the-top masculinity is something that really does not appeal to me in a series, and I tend to prefer my male protagonists on the cool or laidback side (think Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop). That being said, this element of design did not ultimately bother me that much, particularly for reasons I had mentioned in my novel above.

I genuinely recommend that you give it a try one day unless there's some other major reason you think you wont enjoy it. I say this not only as a fan of the franchise but just a fan of anime in general. Several times in the past I have foregone watching a series before of one or two (or perhaps a few) elements that I previously know I did not like and thought it would affect my enjoyable of the show. Your experience can and mostly likely will be much more complicated than that. You might find you still dislike it but for other reasons or, optimistically, you're pleasantly surprised.

At the end of the day, I just want people to enjoy more shit, because there's a lot of it out there to experience, and we're often our own unreliable critics.
And you're right, they're a nice break from Grand Order; and I say this as a Grand Order fan.
Well, as a Grand Order fan, I wish they'd take a nice break from Arcade, because I'm fucking tired of the exclusives they keep getting that the app most likely is not going to receive. :gura-pain:
