You know in all my years being here, and seeing him sporadically come up in conversation around threads here, it surprsies me that he hasn't had a thread yet so lets talk about this cultural imperalist now today.

So as you already know, this guy is a "journalist" covering stuff from Japan but really all he just does is sperg out all day and night about Japan bad. He's not even from Japan, he's just a fucking white liberal that simply lives there on visa just to spread shit something i've noticed ampllifeid lately lot of anti Japanese sentiments going around and generally misandry too.

First time he came around alot of us radars (sadly) was when he started to get hoes mad round the time Uzaki was blowing up because of its anime coming out and since naturally she was a perfect fit for blood donations hoes got mad because shortstack woman can have big tiddies too.

There's also other anti Japanese sentiments too from spreading alot of misinformation and taking things way out of context to simply push his narrative of Japan bad one tweet from Oliver Jia is simply enough to just dismantle his ass lmao. (not sure if oliver jia has already yet but he should defo do it)

There's lot more to be listed here but laptop and busy schedule with work with my site is preventing me from contributing much sadly so that aside, what other damage can you think of has he done to Japan not just otaku society as a whole let me know down in the comments.

Jia's main flaw (or quality, depending on your perspective) is that he is an idealist. He still believes the main issues surrounding censorship of japanese media can be solved in a more or less civilized manner and that our opponents (some of them at least) can still be convinced or won over.

I do not fully disagree with him, I do not think we need to go all scorched earth on everything, but I think he gives too much credit to the other side. The latest example I think would be regarding ai translation.

He argued that ai is just gonna be as bad if not worse than current localizations. The fault in that logic is obvious, you can fix/improve upon ai so it gets better at translating, on the other hand you cannot fix the mouth breather clique that is the current localizer industry.

Seconded, full scorch earth is honestly the only thing to do now at this point since the term sanity and common sense are now no longer rare valubles but at this point totally extinct due to tiktok,twatter,reddit and resetera circus freaks.
