What distro do you use?

My recent foray into Linux started with Linux Mint , but I eventually settled with Ubuntu since Ubuntu is the only distro that has successfully implemented the ZFS File system. ZFS is the best file system ever created , it's also the best file system because unlike NTFS , ExFAT there's almost 0% chance ( outside of few exceptions ) for actual data corruption.

I use Garuda Linux on my thinkpad cause it's the only distro that is not ubuntu that don't have a broken bootloader, for some reason my laptop can't boot most distros

everything server related either have debian or armbian it's easy to use most tutorials are made for this and it is robust enough to be run 24/7 for years with no maintenance whatsoever

my desktop still run windows cause I'm a retard who plays fortnite, also I've had this windows installation for so long that it would feel like moving out if I were to change there is so much stuff on there to move so many habits and so many software to reinstall (+ I was retarded enough to store all my stuff in encrypted NTFS partitions)

Not Linux Distro specifically but FreeBSD is another UNIX operating System I have been experimenting with , mostly because so many of my favorite gadgets/gaming console OS software architecture uses FreeBSD as it's core.

On my desktop, I've been using Nobara's KDE Plasma variant for a bit. It's a fork of Fedora (Which is compatible with RPM packages, which means I don't have to mess with AUR or package converters like Alien to get stuff like Autodesk software, Unity Engine, or Mullvad VPN running), but there's a lot of optimizations for gaming, gaming periphreals, and the needed tweaks for RGB lighting that's already done for you.

My time with Arch was hell outside of getting NVIDIA cards functional (Although it's still a buggy experience compared to AMD's open sourced drivers, and that is probably the main reason why we still see so much circlejerking about Wayland being "bad"), and my time with Ubuntu and it's adjacent derivatives had the problem of APT as a package manager and Ubuntu forcing Snap down people's throats.

But with a chromebook that I had gotten for cheap, I flashed coreboot on it, and installed a custom Fedora barebones install (using the server version) alongside the needed dependencies to get Suckless DWM working.

I'm using Arch (KDE) on my laptop and Windows on my desktop. I'm thinking of switching to Linux on the desktop as well because I don't play video gaymes that often anymore, and (I presume) the majority of games I'm interested in can be trivially emulated on Linux at this point.

gonna wipe the core2duo laptop set it up as a DJ laptop, to autoboot into mixxx. Reccomendations on OS? Gentoo but binary package instead of source? can core 2 due handle 4 audio tracks and less than 50 ms latency?
Kind of want something simple that doesn't screw up if you need to update it and doesn't screw up if you don't update it ever.
