Why does the western FE fanbase hates Japan and Anime so much?

As someone who sadly likes to play this game I often ask myself this question.

Most Fire Emblem fans try so hard to deny this game came from Japan. They complain about newer games having "anime" tropes. They shit on japanese voice acting and claim the english dub is so much better, and go so far as saying the japanese fanbase is toxic and the eng fanbase are a bunch of saints.

Also there's the fact they celebrate when games get censored.

I am genuinely curious why this game in particular attract this kind of fans.

I think the answer to this question is that a lot of the people who got into the Fire Emblem series lately did so because the games are just standalone pretty good, and it's one of the biggest mainline series on the Switch right now. So that'll attract some normies of course.

They've never had any exposure to or interest in anime in the past, so their first reaction upon seeing anything remotely fanservicey or whatnot is to call it gross and that whoever likes it is weird. I've also heard that the games never used to have waifu fanservice so maybe some of the older players don't like it either, but I'm not sure.

Try to argue with them, and essentially all you'll get out of it is that they think it's weird. So of course they would like the "weird" stuff to be censored. As far as I know fire emblem was always sort of anime tropey. That said the whole dating thing aspect of it is sort of new I think it started with the ds games? Dont quote me on it tho.

The problem is that a lot of the western audience either dont know what theyre getting into or just want a watered down version of it.
The first ones come, most likely, from the smash fanbase (so you know theyre gonna be great people and totally not annoying ) and so are just a bunch of normies that may not even be into anime in the first place.

The second ones are the ones that know its anime but they only want the parts they like to stay and to get rid of anything they dont like. Basically they want to have their cake and eat it too

Isn't this the same issue Persona has where "fans" of it don't play the games and hate anime and overall Japanese culture?
The issue is, western RPGs are shit and these are currently popular so it's trendy to "like" them, what these "fans" want is a RPG made with american bay area morality with a Japanese face, it's colonialism and imperialism, plain and simple.
These "fans" also go out of their way to demand other games not FE or Persona conform to the same bay area morality like a spoiled child.

I think a lot of them are the typical woke types that want to pretend their new era of woke games are better while tanking in sales.
They just want a great I.P that they themselves could never create and then kick it into submission with their version of it and then claim it became a better game.

Fire Emblem as a franchise screams Tumblr for some reason. I think it's more the colorful design, but the series seems to attract women more than men.
It's like how the older Tales series got the same audience with its more child like design, which Tales seems to veer off from in later years.

Secretly all those woke freaks admire a knight in shiny armor, as long as it is part of their fantasy it's ok, but the moment a normal person enjoys something they

I grew up in Europe and Asia interchangeably and none of this crusading against Japanese culture was a thing because people got better shit to do. I've never had the pleasure (fortunately) to visit the USA but whenever a random asshole in some 2000s gaming forum wanted to tell me how degenerate Japan culture and their works are, said asshole always proudly announce themselves as an American. It's something specifically in the US culture that breeds these people. All countries got idiots but maybe the richest and most powerful country on earth produced them with an ego to match that or something. Wokeism is a global disease now but i can bet you where that plague came from. Stop hiding behind vague terms like "Westerners" and confront your inner demons.

Some will think i'm too harsh, not all Americans are like that blablabla. I tried to keep this line of thinking up in good faith, i really did. But if you let your crazies run the Asylum then why are you surprised you're being treated like one of them? I think another factor why the Fire Emblem and Persona games attract these tourists is due to their shitty localization jobs. Especially, Fire Emblem. It is pretty much the poster boy of trash localization and censorship. It only validated and empowered the tourists and localizers on pushing their West Coast sensibilities on these franchises.

The series always had a high amount of handsome dashing male characters thanks to the setting. In general women love to demand shit be changed to cater towards them, where as men will just quit if something doesn't suit their taste. Look at the newest game and the effeminate K-pop boyband MC and tell me you don't know who they are catering to. Devs might be going too far though. My younger sister who's into anime and games (but not K-pop) says the MC looks like a soyboy lol. I watched her play and character wise the MC appears very weak and cowardly, compare to older MCs like Ephraim.

I'd like to bring up as well the 'old guard' type of weeb. The one that's associated with places like ANN and whatnot. They grew up on a highly curated selection of anime and when 'moeshit' started getting released in the Anglosphere they went "HUH BUH WHAAAAAAAAT 0_o" despite a lot of what they were bitching about not even being too unheard of in older series that just didn't get released back then.

Why do I bring them up? Because I believe a not insignificant amount of the anti-anime Fire Emblem/Persona/SMT fanbase is apart of the same ideology. Still, people like me (keeping track of global news) recognize the signs so we're trying to spread the word. The reason the West became like that is because most people just shut their mouth trying to be "nice" or political correct. I'm not saying to go and commit any violence.
