This season has tons of sequels, so most of your plans were probably already made. But was there any series you started solely to catch up with the currently airing sequel?

Since this thread will generate discussion for different anime, be mindful to hide all spoilers, thanks.

I've been thinking about making a thread to discuss current seasonal anime for a couple days now as I'm not really sure about the format.
On one hand we could make a single thread per anime, but that would fragment discussion, and there's clearly not enough activity to sustain that, especially given the (lack) of popularity of certain series.
On the other hand, in a mega-thread for the entire season, you can't really talk about spoilers of a particular series as other people might not have picked the series up yet, but still want to discuss another anime (you can stay out of the dedicated thread until you caught up tho). So still not sure about the format, therefore trying this out and we'll see where this leads. I saw there was already a thread for Redo of Healer, so maybe more popular stuff will end up having its own thread on its own.

i think having a seasonal thread is a good idea to recomend or rant about stuff. if there is enough interest for a single series we can do a dedicated thread for discussions.

AOT S3 P2: it's great as expected
Horimiya: loved the manga so im glad it got a full anime this time. the op is great and all character look stunning greengirlbest
Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken S2: fun show im tempted to read the novel

Redo of Healer: pretty trashy but still enjoyable
Jujutsu Kaisen: anime of the season. the most "stylish" op's & ed's ever
Log Horizon S3: i'm so glad it finally got another season. i don't watch anime for that long but i feel nostalgic watching the new op
Ore dake Haireru Kakushi: wincest and childhood friend gf

Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun: i couldn't even finsihed the first ep. i like fantasy but a 10/10 interacting with a 1/10 is just too much lol and no he is not like best boy hachiman
EX-ARM: i don't have friends or enough drugs to enjoy this disaster

watching (haven't watched anything except one or two past episode 5 yet):
Yuru camp obviously...
Kumo desu ga, nani ka? surprisingly my favourite anime this season (for now), really fun and entertaining. The seiyuu (Aoi Yuuki) surpassing herself again!
Slime I like the beginning of S1, got a bit bored during the last arc, plot is finally moving.
Hataraku Saibou (both vanilla and Black) it's fun and sometimes educational. the platelets aren't as cute in Black, but the plots are a bit better (also YEAR OF THE COW!)
Uma Musume the first season was absolutely delightful so I couldn't miss this one.
BEASTARS 2 impossible to not continue after the massive cliffhanger we got in S1.
Jujutsu Kaisen (leftover) I wasn't going to pick this one up, but a mate I watch a couple of anime with absolutely wanted to watch this. This turned out to be really good.
Higarushi (leftover) it's okay
Vlad Love completely forgot about this one! The real surprise/underdog of the season. Very pleasant.

Redo of Healer just watched the first 2 episodes for now
Log Horizon also super happy this got its sequel, finally. I'm just waiting for all episodes to air before starting.
Non Non Biyori just haven't gotten around starting it, will probably wait it finished airing at this point.
Re:zero still haven't watched part1 of season2
Jobless Reincarnation: I Will Seriously Try If I Go To Another World idk, it sounds like a generic isekai, and I'm getting more and more tired/bored of them, but there's lots of hype on jp twitter around this one. Will give it a try.

Kumo desu ga, nani ka? surprisingly my favourite anime this season (for now), really fun and entertaining. The seiyuu (Aoi Yuuki) surpassing herself again!

i watched the first 3 or 4 episodes and i was kind of disapointed, i really enjoyed the manga and looked forward to the anime but itn turns out the anime don't really follow the manga and i just kept comparing the 2 so i ended up dropping it (the cgi also didn't help )

beastars season 2 i liked the season 1 but the season 2 is insanely better,definitely one of my fav
Jujutsu Kaisen i ignored it last season but decided to watch some of it, turn out it's amazing

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (2020) i enjoyed the begining but it became kind of boring halfway, but non non biyori absolute banger 10/10
re:zero season 1 was really mid but holy fuck season 2 is incredible
mushoku tensei it's also one of my fav of the season, make me think i should finish reading the novel
tenchi souzou design-bu it's kinda mid, some episode are funny and it have a similar vibe to murenase seton gakuen

wonder egg priority yet another amazing one.one of the must watch of the season imo
horimiya one of my favorite manga ever, the anime is just as good
kemono jihen i wasnt expecting much from it but it's actually great
jaku chara tomozaki kun it's very cringy and the plot isnt interesting, i dont knowwhy i havent dropped it yet tbh
otherside picnic the plot is a bit unclear and confusing sometime but overall it's pretty good
redo of healer i read the manga so i knew what i was going into, imo it's just a fucked up hentaiwith aditional plot, not that great but not bad either

vlad love definitely the most underrated anime of the season, i enjoy it a lot, go check it out if you haven't it's not for everyone but it's definitely a interesting one

Kumo desu ga, nani ka? has the shittiest twist, it made me stop reading honestly. I don't want to watch it either at this point.
Mushoku Tensei, I've read it, and I can't make myself to try out the anime.
Redo of Healer is another one I've read (read the WN), it's on my Watch List but goes on the list like Mushoku Tensei.
Kemono Jihen I'm gonna watch this eventually, it's a higher priority on my list.
Jujutsu Kaisen Highest priority right now.

I'm still watching fucking Imouto Sae Ireba Li., like bruv, I hate when I'm on hiatus sometimes with anything, Anime as well. It's like I want to watch it but I don't. It's like I want to play it, but I don't. Maybe I'll watch, play, etc tomorrow ad infinitum.

AOT Final Season basically great as all seasons of this anime.
Higurashi no Naku koro ni (2020) was my start with higurashi when they cry and i loved it, i didnt watched previous anime but pretty much spoiled myself all of them.
Mushoku no Tensei i fell in love with this anime almost instantly and now i am after reading manga and about to read light novel.

Pretty much thats all, lately i just didnt had time or will to watch anime and now i am just watching seasonal anime

Caught up on kumoko, Yurus and JJK

• I still like the spider, she's cute and it's all fun. We got some plot development with more and more questions. Dunno why yall dislike it.
• Watched both Nadeshiko's solo trip and the OVA with Shimarin learning the sauna life. Cute and Comfy as fuck.
• Toudou & Itadori really make this whole arc worth it. I absolutely love it, from the very start of their fight.. Dunno if I would have liked it as much without them. Tournaments are rarely entertaining for me. Also really gotta appreciate the combat animations.

RN Im centering in older anime (Tennis no Oujisama its eating my soul), but from this season im watching:

• YuruCamp S2, loved pretty much every piece of the comfyness in any form of media where its YuruCamp
• Tensura S2, the first season was ok, and i like a lot Rimuru, so, yeah.
• Kumo desu ka, i readed some of the manga, so i wanted to watch the anime, so far... I like the cgi, its not the worst thing out there
• Dr. Stone, after reading the manga i really needed the Stone Wars animated, so far, so good.

Outside that, I want to watch UmaMusume when its finished, some screencap of Wonder Egg are beautiful so maybe im gonna watch it at some point... And, dropped or "planning to drop" its only one, fucking Tenku Shinpan, i liked the manga (i need to finish it), but there's something on the anime that makes me be more bored than watching the paint dry.

Okay I picked up moshoku tensei, watched 8 episodes yesterday evening.
Way better than expected. Nothing really exceptional, but we have a mix of comedy, fun and fan service.
I kind of get the popularity among artists now.
