Actions speak louder than words. Time and time again, the "wokies" demonstrate that if you give them a second chance, they will just revert to doing what they've been always doing. Though, an important distinction that has to be made for these bad actors is that they are different from regular people that mess up and then recover/redeem by demonstrating through their actions. Some may be redeemable, but most (if not very close to all) need to be kept out of our industries for years to come. Those that do redeem themselves have to be held under extreme scrutiny, and might have a really hard time recovering (that would be that person's fault for foresaking real fans anyway). A lot of people say that it's cruel to wish for a person to lose his or her's job, but in this case, we are not removing people from their livelihoods, we are removing parasites that DO NOT like the medium they are working on. You cannot honestly work on something you dislike yourself.
Take Anita Sarkeesian; she doesn't like video games at all (she admitted it on an interview), but she makes money parroting a false narrative that gaming (and by extension gamers) are sexist and mysogynist, and that the "deeply rooted problematic" gaming culture needs to be changed. Remember when she tried to get CD Projekt Red to buy her "counseling" services? CDPR didn't, but some studios certainly did. Over the years, her idea propagated with the help of the mainstream (entertainment) media, and it ruined the things we liked. We saw extensive censorship (at the source and post-release, look at Mortal Kombat 11's girls) and politicization of what should simply be entertainment media. Anita is an example of a usurper, not a contributor, because instead of making her own products and trying to persuade others through the art medium, she instead cuddles her way up to influencers and developers and perverts things from the production level. Same deal for people like Zoe Quinn, who still hasn't released her crowdfunded game, by the way, so she's technically scammed people.
And what about the western "translators" that bring all our beloved eastern entertainment overseas? Well, I think we all know what we think about them.
Actors like Anita have to understand that if they wish to make the change, then be the change, not force the change. Make a game that isn't full of those supposedly harmful, overly-sexualized women. And if it doesn't sell, or if no one takes credence to it, then that will be that; your idea was garbage. But no, instead they infiltrate and subvert communities and turn them into their political vehicles. These people do NOT deserve to be back in our industries, because again they are not contributors, they are usurpers.
Now in regards to giving people a second chance: In my opinion, the people that switched to or became prominent by parroting the woke ideology will be fully gatekept, and only a few will have the privilege of being held under extreme scrutiny. Their chance to walk back was during the first side-change to wokeness, but
the majority doubled down. The "second chance" has been used up. Their decision shows us that they will ride the most spoken trend to gain clout and money. At any point in the future, the same people could betray you. Some may say a "list" is a bit too cruel, but it's simply how we as humans gatekeep our social circles/communities and keep them clean and free of infiltrators, and we should have our own lists of bad actors. Remember the people, the way they speak, the things they believe, and the products they've created. Especially remember people that virtue signal; as RagingGoldenEagle has said many times before: no virtue signaler is a good person, and no good person is a virtue signaler. It will be very hard to find exceptions. Don't support the individuals that tore everything down and betrayed their original craft/audience, and prepare to excommunicate them from your immediate circles. The ideas and creations that will flourish will naturally gain monetary and oral support, while the ones that will fail will remain un-financially supported or, at the worst, fade into obscurity. If these people want to redeem themselves, let them, but don't give them any help or purposefully hinder them. A good product will speak for itself. Then ignore the rest; let them REEE into the abyss about us abandoning them and being -ists and -phobes.
So no, I will not forgive, nor will I forget. Remember that the entire western comic industry was brought to its knees due to political subversion, and a good chunk of the gaming industry has experienced the same phenomena. Now that comics is dead, the puritans are trying to bring down manga as well under the pretense of sexism (see Gerry Conway, who co-created
Powergirl of all things), and the gaming industry is tense with real fans worried if the next title(s) will be censored or not. Unfortunately, I don't know if everyone will adopt the harder stance and put the foot down when working on commercial projects (not just talking on social media). Not to say that we should be openly hostile at first notice, but we should heighten our senses to any bullshit and infiltration and stop it when it happens. Luckily it's not too hard to pick out puritans; if I work on a project that has sexy girls and someone that wants to help the project is saying we should cover up the girls to be less sexist, I'm going to outright deny the idea and reject the person, especially if he or she continues.
I will say though, I must thank the woketards. They gave me that small push I needed to pursue my passion in art (not just digital drawing; I want to make games as well). Here's to a future of indies and a new golden age of gaming and entertainment once all these parasites are evicted or beaten with the bucks good ol' free market style.
