Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Heart to Heart's Uncensored Mod

You need to have your switch modded first, then put the files into romfs folder, the same way you usually do when you mod a switch game.

There's a few typo here and there during the start of the chapter when you first enter HolySee's conclave, and some quests still use the localized name (one still has Poppi instead of Hana) but none too serious. The biggest downside of using this mod is that you might get confused when you're trying to look up a guide online to see where to go, which item to get, who to talk to, because every online english guide will refer to the botched job localizer's made up name which is how I learned about the scale of Treehouse's retardation. They changed almost every town/island name like Superbia and Invidia to something nonsensical. I found out later those names apparently reflect the 7 sins in latin which is probably why they deem it necessary to change so as not to offend the prudish mutts but that still isn't a good excuse, I play Japanese game to enjoy messages from Japanese not to immerse myself in western religious nonsense.

And on being offensive, I find Nia/Niyah's voice offending me greatly. Apparently the voice actor NoA hired had too much woman pride to act like an otaku's cat girl which is her original personality. It's star ocean 4 lymle all over again.
Do I have to take my Switch apart to mod it or is it some patch I also need to download?

It depends on the model of your switch. Only the early version of Switch could be modded without taking it apart. All later models require hardware modding, you can look up on how to guide from gbatemp. There used to be rentry guide but it's gone now.

Just hit last chapter, most of the dlc quest in last chapter were not de-localized, but at this point I've memorised what's what from looking up those guides. The game is fuckhuge with lots of things to do that feel not boring and I can see now why they said XC2 is the best. Too bad they put a few brakes here and there on fanservices, Meleph's swimsuit was most disappointing. Can't show a woman's tummy, typical prudes.

Today, I was checking through the BDAT files of the mod, and I can't seem to find any BDAT relating to the Torna DLC Story Script. So I want to ask, did Suhas delocalized the Torna DLC?

Damn. Is there a way to extract the bdat for Torna? I would be willing to delocalize the game in my spare time
Ahhhhh it's been a while but I think I extracted the bdats with an emulator (idk if I used Yuzu or Ryu or if it works for DLC files) and then used https://github.com/rotaryphone111/BdatEditor_Python, you need to install Python v3.10.11 (newer versions are not compatible afaik) and use cmd to run it.
The program is finicky af as it crashes for no reason, good luck :salute:

Thanks for the advice! By the way, do you have a list of all the localized names and their JP-translated counterpart in a txt file? I figure that it could be useful for new players who want to 100% the game and have to refer to an english guide that are using the localized names

Nope, but I have this which I believe are all the changes Suhas made in his mod.

So after a few days of research and experimentation with the current Xenoblade modding tools, I've finally manage to find the bdat files and get them to register in the Torna DLC(physical). Now I can finally start building this mod!

We kinda need to build up this sector of the Xenoblade Community. Try to make it avoid being the complete shitshow that is Atlus' Fanbase.
You know, there used to be a Discord server that was dedicated to delocalizing Xenoblade 2/3. But that server is unfortunately dead with zero activity. The link to it is still active though, so if you're curious I can share it to you.
