why don't they start by actually fixing the absolute mess that is comments, or better yet just remove comments all together, there's rarely anything of value in there anyways.

won't work. you can just disable comments or filter them by words.

Why doesn't YouTube just remove the dislike feature altogether? They have effectively meant nothing to the platform ever since the algorithm change that included them as engagement (i.e. positive promotion). How are they still this butthurt about the overwhelming negative response towards their objective failure of YouTube Rewind 2018? "Creator feedback" my ass. This is textbook censorship and yet another step towards the dystopia where every environment is a hugbox and all criticism is suppressed.
