These are pretty good History channels.
Mark Felton Productions : Actual historian, written books, covers lots of unknown events
Dark Docs : Talks about cover-ups, and other obscure(?) events.
Drachinifel : Mainly naval history. Basically anything and everything related to naval combat
History Buffs : Reviews movies based off history, and compares how accurate they were to the real event.
Ahoy : Not a history channel, more focused on video games. but who really cares his voice is amazing.
Fredrik Knudsen : Down The Rabbit Hole

that's the ones I can think off of the top of my head.

Mark Felton and Drachinifel really are high quality. In the same category I would like to add Montemayor with his excellent animated videos of the battle of Savo Island and battle of Midway from the japanese perspective.

Dovahatty made a parodic history of the roman empire using memes such as CHAD (patrician) VS virgin (plebeians) and many more. Very funny. He also began history of the byzantine empire with the same style.

Looks like gaming and history has been somewhat covered so I'll recommend some other stuff.

Chain Bear does some fun videos on the mechanics of Formula 1
Casual Navigation is a new favorite of mine, he talks about boats and other naval stuff
Lockpicking Lawyer is really, really good at picking locks. Also very calming videos, I watch them when falling asleep a lot
Baumgartner Restoration for some interesting painting restoration videos. I'm not normally into ASMR but this one is really good.

GEN3 OWL CHANNEL and 木村英俊 for owls

Pask Makes, Clickspring, Uri Tuchman, and Peter Brown are some of my favorite maker channels
AvE for hilarious and in-depth tool reviews, and really creative swearing
This Old Tony for some funny machining content

Seriously half the history channel on youtube should be on TV with the quality of their videos.

one of my favorite video of his

Thank you for making me realize I'm subscribed to almost no channel outside of Vtubers, music related stuff and Joseph Anderson (which I subbed to not miss his witcher 2 review, but just realized I missed it anyways 6 months ago). Maybe this is a showcase of how great the internet is, I don't miss most of the content I like because I either follow them on other social medias or good stuff is simply shared all over the internet. Also there's some stuff I'm subbed to and/or I remember checking the channel regularly but that I can't share as the content is in my native tongue.

Anyways,
  • aquadesignamano: WTF? you might say, and I fully understand. aqua design amano is basically the channel of the company created by Takashi Amano, a famous man who revolutionized aquascaping (underwater aquarium landscaping gardening). So most of the content is either a presentation of their products or their works. And oh boy, are their works awesome. Idk why, but watching the creation of beautiful live aquariums (serious considerations about the closed ecosystem so plants and fish don't die or develop algae have to be taken) is so fucking satisfying!
  • オトナ女子の山登り(otona joshi no yamanobori ~ woman mountain climbing): this is my wife's channel. She doesn't know we're married yet. I don't understand half of what she says. But nothing can stand between our fate! (I like mountain climbing/hiking)
  • Pause and Select: one of the very few anitubers I can bear. Maybe the only one, still not sure.
  • Terry Barentsen: he has a series called "hotline" where he follows cyclists from all over the world through their city in the middle of traffic. HQ videos, he's very good at filming while riding. Imo both very relaxing and just plain impressive. If you hate cyclists on the road you better don't watch this lol.
  • 3Blue1Brown: a math (or CS, physics, engineering, whatever they're all applied math fields some way or the other) channel which focuses on visualizations. Visuals are aesthetically pleasing and sometimes give a nice insight on the very often quite abstract subject discussed.
  • Andreas Kling: So this is an old /g/-tard who used to post regularly in /dpt/ when he was starting out his OS project. Both his channel and his OS kinda blew up (well in the proportions of hobby programming/programming streaming). He still has a lot of "easy" videos, in the sense that it's not all related to complicated OS internals. His videos are usually a feature he wants to implement or a bug he wants to fix, and then records himself solving doing it.

I forgot how fun these terrarium/aquarium channels are. This is a good one, thanks!

Life of Boris A slav that makes a bit of everything from cooking to hard-bass music videos a bit of gaming and other silly things.
Let's Game It Out He plays games as stupidly as possible and more often than not manages to brake it.
bigclivedotcom A Scottish election that likes to build and reverse engineer electrical things sometimes things go boom.
ashens Not sure how to describe his channel other than tat reviewer.
Jethild He is very specific in covering mostly the lore of command and conquer but he dose it very well.

That's a few recommendations from a random dude on the internet.

ah Ashens. Love his series on eating food that you probably should never eat, watched his newest movie too. Honestly. Wasn't awful, I got laughs out of it. Not a bad buy if you wanna support the guy.

Memes:
- Gianni Matragrano | Does voice acting covers over meme pics. Posts frequently.
- Schrödinger | Gun related channel that I like to watch when I get randomly recommended his stuff. He's been getting into posting more regarding his personal life misadventures (funny stuff and messing around; no sob stories). Posts periodically.
- (EDIT) kickok45 | Old man that does gun related videos. He's very calm and enjoys himself, so it's wholesome.

Gaming (very specific games):
- GetOffMyJankz | Only for if you are into Apex Legends (does a lot of crossover videos with iTempPlays); he's really good to watch if you want to git gud. Posts frequently.
- BlueGhost | Titanfall 2 content that usually is just there for a good time. Posting more recently, and it's always nice if you're a fan of Titanfall.
- Beelz | Mainly for Skul: The Hero Slayer content, but has videos on other games. Posts frequently.
- HorHeristo | Game speedrunner, usually for a lot of indie and/or metroidvania games. Binding of Isaac, Dead Cells, Blasphemy, etc. Ever since he got demonitized, he's been doing funnier stuff like speedrunning hentai games (censoring them for YT, of course). Posts frequently.
- Weiss Gaming | Monster Hunter related stuff. She's been doing memes recently in preparation for MH Rise.
- TeamDarkSide | Epic gamer Monster Hunter channel. They show off some 1337 hunts that take a lot of effort and coordination to get right.
- Peppo | Related to TeamDarkSide, Peppo is a Longsword Monster Hunter speedrunner that's part of the team. I watch him since I also play LS.
- SsethTzeentach | Also for meme value, this guy does some of the most hilarious game reviews (but usually for obscure games). He's just funny all around. Posts nfrequently.

Music:
- FalkonnE | Hard metal remixes of popular pop culture and video game songs.
- RichaadEB | Metal covers of pop culture and video game songs. Did music for Cadence of Hyrule, actually. Banger stuff.
- GaMetal | Also pop culture and video game song metal covers. One of my favorites is his remix of Silver Will from Sora no Kiseki (aka Trails in the Sky).

Informational & Misc:
- Think Before You Sleep | Lots of self-help for men and psychology stuff, and usually comments on cultural trends. Posts infrequently, but with long high-quality videos.
- Romanian TVee/Lack of Entertainment | Romanian guy appropriately named Vee with a weird voice that talks politics and philosophy on his main channel (former), and entertainment on his culture channel (latter). Good stuff, if you can get past his voice and accent. Posts frequently.
- Raging Golden Eagle | Comicsgater that has been working on Blade Devil, an indie comic. Weekly streams talking about entertainment, politics, and general bullshittery of modern day. Occasionally does crossover streams with other comicsgaters like YellowFlash 2 and That Umbrella Guy.
- ClownfishTV | Entertainment news with politics segways (because politics is injected into our entertainment now). Married couple (I think) that are also doing a comic book.
- YoungRippa59 | Also known as Eric July, he's an anarcho-capitalist that has some amazing political commentary. Talks about comics, music, and politics. He also has an entertainment focused channel that omits the politics (it's somewhere on his page). His existence is hilarious because it flies in the face of mainstream narratives regarding black people; he's independent, not a sucker, strong willed, successful, and thinks a hell of a lot for himself. Very active right now, especially since there is the culture war happening in the US. I highly recommend him.
- Shadiversity | Medieval history and technical analyst of portrayals in pop culture, with some sidetracking into pop culture since he is also a huge nerd. His demeanor is likable, and the subject matters are often really enjoyable. He also has a gaming channel, something like GamingKnight.
- 3Blue1Brown | Top-tier channel for math stuff. Watched his stuff a lot when I took Calc 3.
- Ethan Becker | Art channel that talks a lot about technical things, but it's more memetic.
- Memology 101 | Honduran dude that just posts the L's of people online for all to see, usually in entertainment and politics. Always a pleasure to see, and is basically the Sherlock Holmes of exposing hypocrisy.
- Walter Lewin | Another learning channel. Walter Lewin is a Harvard physics instructor. Idk, it's kinda wholesome watching the guy teach physics. I don't watch his videos at all anymore, but I always remember him because he's such an outstanding instructor.
- 李子柒 Liziqi | A Chinese girl that shows off how she (supposedly) lives in the rural mountainside. This includes cooking, foraging, and even crafting (not even kidding; she makes things out of bamboo straight from the forest). Peaceful and serene; I do recommend giving her channel a look.
- Mark Wiens | World traveller that literally just goes to various countries, eats food from the locale, and shares his expereince. Entertaining, and just wholesome content overall regarding yummy food. Also he can demolish spicy food. My mom really likes cooking, so she watches him so she can be exposed to dishes around the world.

I've listed a lot, but I actually don't spend a lot of time on YT. The ones I listed are ones I actually look up, since my YT rec page is filled with random memes and music. Most of my time is spent arranging pixels into the shape of breasts.
