Discussion Tipping culture is getting out of hand

Does anyone else here notice how absolutely nothing can be bought without the buyer asking for a tip these days? I myself never tip because I think that if you're emotionally soft enough to give away money at your own detriment then you get what you deserve and deserve what you get; an increase in tipping culture and you losing more money.

The fact that tipping culture is driven by fear rather than an actual desire to tip just shows that it's a bad practice.

They try to scare you with the idea that if you don't tip, and even if you do tip but just don't tip enough, then you risk the job not being done, or something happening to, say, your food.

Not to mention the severe underpayment of employee's because businesses want the customer, not the service sector, to pay for the employee's income. It's an entirely unsustainable system that will hopefully collapse soon.

I would never ever tip to a corporation or franchise place. No matter if it's Fast Food or even a Restaurant run by a chain they are always overpriced and the food is not that good on quality, you are paying for the atmosphere. Besides those places do pay employees terribly, but that is on the employer not the customer to offer better benefits. The small Family Restaurants, i will tip but on a rare occasion because it's always the run down restaurants or the family places that actually do care for the most part(there is exceptions) about the employees and try not to upsell the customer by giving better value. I do think it's just sad in America most go to the Drive-Thru rather than park their car behind the Drive-Thru area and eat in the Plaza with Family Places.

I remember seeing a thread like this on mal ages ago and honestly i don't really tip in general cause i aint giving money to an anti capitalist.
