I looked at the Japanese screenshot of the character creation screen, and 'あなたの分身の姿を教えてください' is normal. If it's political correctness, then Japanese game companies have been politically correct since the 1990s.

You're confusing the Pokemon 'スタイル' (style) politically correct nonsense that has been mocked by the Japanese community with something that has been a common sight in the character selection and creation screens for Japanese video games for as long as I can remember; no one in the Japanese Fire Emblem scene are complaining about that sentence. That said, I tried looking up ポリコレ (political correctness) in regards to Fire Emblem Engage, and what is being discussed is how in older games, the game strategy is different if you choose male or female, and with the latest Fire Emblem entry, there's practically no strategical difference (also how Fire Emblem has been pushing for gender equality by having ~50% of the important cast be female). Within the topic of western influence, some Japanese players think one girl with really dark skin is due to western political correctness.
