Project FATE is an ambitious MMORPG that seems to be developed by only 2 people. Their goal is to create some sort of game that, as described by Sammwy themselves would be a "Anime style [game], inspired by Zelda, World of Warcraft, Skyrim and Genshin Impact.".
Theres very little out about Project FATE, besides a few ambiguous screenshots, and a single devlog uploaded November 30th 2020. The video just shows Sammwy walking around a stock island with some very generic anime models, to show off the syncing of movement. Theres no audio, or explanation of whats happening just a bit of moving around.
The UI itself looks nice, if not a bit generic, but they don't seem to be functional as of yet.
Along with this there's a test for what I'm guessing is the camera controller, which they describe as "BOTW style". It's nothing special, but might be worth mentioning for future reasons?
They plan to have the game be an MMORPG, yet if Kickstarter Crap (or common sense) has taught us anything it's pretty fucking hard making an MMORPG, much less keeping the servers alive. Especially when you're planning on having it run on NodeJS...
sadly the code itself is lost as they've either deleted or privated the github page
outside of that there isn't much else to say about the project, I've asked Sammwy if I could get the source code, so I'll update this thread if anything happens with that.
Now onto the next part of this thread. Sammwy herself. I assume they're a woman cause no guys account looks like this

(Looking at the archive its an old one and shows even more projects that presumably fell through)
Sammwy is the owner/founder/operator of 2LStudios, SlickLearn (Dead), and Arkflame Network.
What does this mean? Fucking nothing.
While each of these projects is ambitious, its far too much for a single person to run, and as you can assume from the state of project FATE (last update September 18th) many of them might not progress in the future anyway.
SlickLearn itself is now dead, but some Farmer went through it before (original post), and thankfully has an archive of the site
Arkflame Networks is in Spanish so maybe @Hibiki could take a look at it and add on, but it seems to be some sort of Minecraft thing.
Finally theres 2LStudios, which seems to have had gone the farthest from the drawing board. It advertises the closed alpha for Project FATE which I only now realise have been mistyping but its too late to worry about that.
Again very little (read: nothing) about the game itself, just some screenshots that could've been taken in any make animugrill software. It also shows 1/3 despite there only being 2 pictures...
A quick look at the HTML finds this, which I assume is the planned map.
If you're trying to hide something at least fix the number
Looking at the old (5 months old) archive, it shows the same 1/3 with only 2 dots, so thats been there a while lol.
While I'd love to know more about Project FATE, maybe even play the alpha (join their discord with this link so I can get early access and try it out) but it seems that the project is forever in limbo along with their other tries.
It looks interesting enough, but I think they're easily outclassed by Genshin which has competent devs, even if they aren't the same idea.
If I get my hands on the source maybe fixing it up enough to do something in a game night would be an interesting time.
