senator joe manchin is trying to add to the yearly must pass NDAA spending bill an amendment that forces website owners to report any crimes spoken (publicly or privately so an encryption attack too) about on their sites or else you'll lose CDA 230 immunity. Before you celebrate twitter having to censor idiot prudes remember this applies to everyone so if you have a site with servers in america you'll be affected too.

Honestly this proposed law seems just unenforceable, is way too vague and the major sites are not equiped to handle this sort of stuff, hell the US government is not equiped to handle this, technically every reportable action on twitter could be considered "suspicious" and that is just one website
