Original title: Nintendo might be cracking down on lewd game submissions, according to Gamuzumi

'Looks like Nintendo is increasing their restriction about what can be published or not on their consoles. We sent the game for review about a month ago and haven't received a review yet, but what we received was an email entailing that "maybe" the game will not fit the console policies.'​

Gamuzumi will soon be releasing their newest ecchi shoot 'em up Hot Tentacle Shooter, similar to previous games such as Waifu Uncovered and Crawlco Block Knockers. But the devs are alleging that not only is the Steam version running into issues, but now Nintendo seems to be focussing its own Eye of Sauron on fanservice games.

If you ask me, this could be the result of leftist detractors complaining about A) the amount of shovelware on the eShop, B) the fanservice games existing in the first place, or even both. Whether Gamuzumi's games are good or not doesn't really matter, as this may be a sign of things to come after the Duel Princess debacle.

UPDATE (01/10/2022): Nipples are no longer allowed on Nintendo releases, confirmed by Gamuzumi. Nintendo believes they damage its reputation.​

We don't know for sure if older games will have to be patched and re-submitted. With this move, Nintendo believes it's O.K. to have nipples in The Witcher 3 but not your niche, evil booby games (because double standards are the only standard!).

Whats the duel princess debacle? All I could find is that the publisher removed the game from steam and the eshop, but now it appears to be back on pc at least.

This is strange on the steam part the dev doesnt seem too worried, and afaik steam ussually lets their games on the platform, they also claim that they plan on releasing the game on the playstation.
Now either they are being naive or they have some confirmation that their game will be accepted on that platform which would make it even stranger that nintendo would not allow it on the eshop but sony will

I still wouldn't support the console. I used to be a PlayStation fan, but completely stopped buying the moment they went woke and started censoring their games.
Also, on PC you can basically emulate everything, so there is no need to worry because in the long run you will most likely still be able to play it.

Nintendo for instance was censoring even before PlayStation, so it's not surprising that they turned back into their Nintendo Treehouse days with massive censorship and alterations. People were under the delusion that Nintendo would be less restrictive after one of the Senran Kagura games release uncensored, but it was just people wishful thinking on their part. Not to mention, it was already leaked that they would alter games during production.

More of a joke then anything, only get games on console if they aren't mature ones as anything like that is always better on PC.
Switch is also a jank console, under powered and just meh at best to me.

Edit: But I do also like getting games physical for consoles as well, so if these games were all digital only, I'm out anyways.

I agree on it being a jank console, seeing as its price is pretty expensive for the type of quality you are getting.

Here in Europe, the physical ownership becomes tiresome because houses are getting smaller thanks to mass immigration which results in overcrowding, so you can barely be a collector anymore unless you're filthy rich. So I decided to just stop the Physical buying of games. I do have to say that I barely buy any games because of all the alteration, so I keep to pirating games.
