Can you tell me more about Kagura Games studios?
I just pulled it off the top of my head, I think they just pick up games from Jlist and ask the author if they could translate it. I felt like they are a eroge focused studio that just likes to write smut for their favorite games and don't feel like pushing any sort of agenda. There's probably tons more indie english studios like that, but also some bad apples, but with the nature of these games I don't really think the bad apples could really survive very long. I might be wrong...
The Japanese indie eroge scene has too many studios to count, because it's usuallly run by one or two people that makes their personal games.
I'm unsure, are there big name studios that game makers flock to to publish their indie jrpg and vn? I'm unaware of it.

Can you tell me more about Kagura Games studios? I did see they publish games and try to enact a uncensored policy than most. I can also agree that there just is not much overall currently in Indies because everyone is too busy chasing popular thing like Roguelikes than trying something new or even just experimenting in different genres.

I think this will be the thing for normals who do not know how to make games. But at least we now know which games to avoid and the templates are. Even if they try to do sneaky bait and switches it will be too obvious.

I have been hoping for the days like that. But the key thing is they exist, they just are not pushed to the front anymore because the industry is hyper obsessed with graphics and the whole growth thing. They are hitting a wall though and it's kind of obvious with studios trying to push for 70$ being the new price point and also Deluxe Editions going from 100$ to 120$. Customers are beginning to no longer pay for this and DLC. So companies are in trouble as a whole. The best thing we can do is push people to begin buying games from AA companies and Indies overall and shill these games so that way one day they can be able to rise up against these AAA's or even provide competition to change the industry. As for Fanservice like Stellar Blade, i do think we will begin seeing a return back to those games again once Stellar Blade releases in the West. It seems like Totoki is making a bet on this being the new direction for Sony.

I was talking about stellar glow, not stellar blade. I just want the good old time of anime games with the quality of "not the best, but also not the worst" of PS2/PS3 era back, when everybody let alone japanese devs didn't give a single fuck to mentally-illed woke scumbags and just made game to sell people, not to get free ESG money.

It saddens me to think that games like Hexyz Force will never get made again without all the shitty woke puritanism. I'm not even sure if the new upcoming nep will be safe seeing as its script has already got censored recently.

I personally say in-between. Despite it being called out more, the AAA video games industry still tries to appeal to a "global demographic", which isn't really true since they're mostly trying to appeal to Black Rock's terms. I personally don't mind diversity in games if it's written good and is sincere, but obviously it's just forced in slop that's just there to fill a checklist. However, indie games are now becoming more common, and while yes we'll still run into indie games that have similar problems to AAA games, we can still find a lot of games that are more sincere and well thought out. Hell, I argue that the fact that stuff like "ValiDate" and other woke games are more honest about who they're making the games for is more sincere than most AAA companies are, and it also helps that due to this we have a more clear idea of what games we personally would like to play and support indie-wise. Either way, I think in some ways, the games are getting better in a small form, but when it comes to AAA games, I think it needs to be broken down and rebuilt from the ground up.
