Oops, barely "sold" a million copies:

And you know they counted the free give away through Nvidia. I bet they only made around $45 million (after platform and promotion costs), that's totally going to help with their $250 million production costs and $100 million advertising costs.

The game had a peak player count approximately 15% of Hogwarts Legacy player count, which is a similar game in a similar genre targeting a similar audience. Hogwarts Legacy sold approximately 22,000,000 copies in its first year. Through this we can assume Dragon Age Veilguard will sell approximately 3.3 million copies in its first year.
Therefore Dragon Age Veilguard will net approx. $190M which is a little less than 2/3rds of development costs (considering a 10 year development cycle and the size of the team it's safe to estimate this at around $300M).
However, money is worth 30% of what it was worth in 2014. This means Dragon Age Veilguard would need to sell 5 times as many copies to recoup development costs.

Holy shit, I thought this would get a lot of game award nominations, and would probably even win game of the year, and continue to expose what a farce that stupid Video game awards is as it continued to expose the industry.
But Slopguard only got nominated for ONE award (Most accessible) THAT is comedy!

This game needed to fail HARD. If possible even worse than Concord or Dustborn did.
Well, Regardless, It was not a success at all, and that is good (And in fact it sounds like Bioware and EA flat out lied about how it sold)

I just hope Avowed fails even worse than this.

The world would be a better place, lol, if that "Trash" game were declared non-canon and completely removed from the series... But alas, the stain has already spread.

Yeah they did... into other developer groups like Sucker Punch. Veilguard writers are working on Ghost of Yotei. There were a few other games that have Veilguard writers for them now.

Yeah there is no accountability with these people, their friends in HR will always give them another job ruining another studio. This cancer won't stop spreading until someone higher up catches onto the abuse of hiring practices.

Bileware was a containment developer all along.
EA should have already put Bitchware to the sword for Mass Effect Andromeda and Anthem. (yes I'm aware there are multiple Bioware studios) Remember EA has offed developers for lesser failures and whored out their IP's for shitty mobile games.

From the looks of it, Mass Effect 5 or whatever may be Bioware's last game. They closed a bunch of studios and moved a bunch of people around. They pretty much stated any one relevant is working on ME5 now.
