Probably everyone here already knows about Kyuotto, but I think it's important to keep an archive of what happened for future uses, the EN VTubers that were part of the harassment campaign are now pretending that nothing happened.

Everything began on 8/12/2020 when @Kyuotto reached 500 followers and decided to do a full avatar reveal, the first day she reached around 1000 likes on her tweet and only received positive comments. The avatar was drawm by the Japanese artist @moeko_peach

Around 8 hours after the avatar reveal angry quote tweets tarted appearing, the most notable one from the ENVTuber @androidA20K where he calls her "disgusting humans" and claims the VTuber community doesn't welcome people who sexualize lolis.
From now on you should notice how frequently they use terms such as "we" "our" "us" and "VTuber community", the purpose of these words is to create a fake sense of belonging, they want to pretend it's "their community" and that we aren't welcome on there, despite the fact the actual VTuber community was always mostly degenerate weebs, and this was never a problem until now, even several of the most popular VTuber (e.g Pikamee or Matsuri) are into lolis themselves.

Additionally this VTuber asked everyone to spread the word around why they aren't welcome, also he wanted people to hijack Kyuotto's art tag #kyuottoart with angry messages, which they did at least for some weeks.
Some extra quote retweets to Kyuotto's avatar reveal, most of them angry people, but a few good ones. There's too many and it's not really worth archiving or posting them all, but you can get a good picture of how it went.
Also some drama unrelated to Kyuotto's avatar happened, apparently she traced some works of the artist @Kayozia and he was really mad about it, Kyotto said she apologized, the artist didn't said she didn't, Kyuotto ended up deleting all tweets related to this.

This motherfucker happily celebrate the harassment and encouraged other to keep going, he also requested the help of bigger VTubers to join the witch-hunt, and he even went to the extreme of trying other to use the CSE report form (Child Sexual Exploitation) on twitter to mass report her with that. That form is meant to be used to report real images of child abuse, it's already overly saturated and this fucking genius decided to start spamming it with reports about a VTuber.
Sadly a lot of the tweets were deleted and were never archived, so I only have the images.

Probably the most repulsive one, that form is to stop the spread of images of the sexual abuse of real children, but it constantly get spammed with reports of unrelated shit, because of retarded cunts like him.

Regardless if it was real or not, the announcement about redesigning her character didn't do much to calm down the angry mob. There's a reason why I always say apologizing doesn't really work in current year.

At this point Kyuotto had locked her account and possibly gave up on being a VTuber, but suddenly the 9th of December a mysterious force intervened :tohru_smug: . Someone convinced her to leave twitter for a few days but without privating the account.
The result, she went from 500 followers to almost 5k followers in less than 4 hours, 8k the next day, and it keept increasing.
A few retweets here and there and the situation did a complete 180º, now the VTubers that were cancelling her were getting ratiod, they were privating their accounts, and they were getting clowned hard. From now on English Vtubers would be seen as a bunch of toxic cancerous scumbags.

As it turns out, she wasn't going to change her avatar to appease the outraged mob, that was a lie from her "friend" the clamtuber. Kyuotto came back to twitter after a week and posted a few tweets to her newly gained thousands of followers, explaining the situation, thanking the people who helped her, etc.
She even made a tweet explaining that she would not limit people's creative freedom and they could draw NSFW of her avatar if they want, as long as they used the correct hashtags. You would expect to see a lot of angry people in here again, but at this point they gave up so both the quote tweets and the responses to the tweet were filled up with the word "based", even from a Japanese guy who didn't really understand what the word based means.
She even got recognized by the most based Japanese twitter user I know of
She even started making fun of the people who hate her, and there's a lot of them who think "Kyuotto ruined the VTuber community forever"
And so Kyuotto would eventually reach 10.5k followers on twitter, and she would have a debut stream on febraury 14, reaching an impressive 800 viewers and the stream lasted for 12 hours. Technically a world record for a debut stream.
And what about the PreDebut VTubers who cancelled her on December? Well most of them are still PreDebut VTubers, the ones who actually stream barely get any views.
Most importantly, the Kraken guy, who did the most bullshit of them all, is a complete loser, barely anybody watches him, his tweets average 5 likes.
